LFIM is........

The maneuver depicted in the comic was used as a plot device in a book that came out 14yrs ago (back before LFIM openly fell off the crazy train?). That means he'd have to claim the authors of that book stole the ideas from him (which I wouldn't put past him.........)

Except... he's not actually going to use that bridge set in the Axanar shorts. Or film in their new warehouse. He's said he's filming in LA on greenscreens like Prelude.

I suspect the Ares bridge set is to launch a knock-off of the TOS set tour. Why else would it exist?
He says a lot of things that aren't true.
He needs the studio to store his hoard of props and play Warhammer, duh.

^^^^ So asks a man posting to a thread with over 32K messages.......
Posting in a message board thread is one thing; doesn't take that much effort to compose a reply. Taking the amount of time to make multiple posters, digging for whatever pics of LFIM or RMB they can find (which I believe they've done several times before) is another.

I don't think the guy that made the posters is TampAxanar; he was sharing them in both Axamonitor and the CBS/Paramount groups on FB. There's quite a few posters though.
TampAxanar is All Of Us...he/she is the electronic expression of the physical embodiment of the dreams of haters and detractors.

"Hater" and "detractor" are propaganda labels projected onto critics of behavior, to impugn the motives of the criticism and duck the content of the criticism. IMO, best not to don that label. The great majority of discussion has been criticism directed to the substantive ongoing misconduct of the management of the project.

TampAxanar is funny and all, but I have to wonder at what point does all their satire lapse into an obsession? That's a lot of work they've been doing to create that many doctored posters...
But harsh to have a go at TampAxanar specifically for that.

I know this is an unpopular opinion, but there are some people associated with the anti-Axanar side that habve gone waaaaaay too far and just look sad and obsessed. They say they are just interested in exposing Peters. It's bollocks. Some of them are obsessed. Every article or about Axanar and they're there in the comments section running him down. They're on the various Facebook groups constantly every day. There are entire, lengthy blogs dedicated to painting Peters in a bad light. The time and effort these people are putting in is ridiculous and they don't seem to realise that they have gone from being people critical of Peters to looking like people hellbent on seeing him fall on his sword and will not stop until they get what they want - and I think this is evidenced perfectly by the fact that they are happy to prop up questionable individuals like Terry McIntosh and have been going full steam ahead well after the litigation settled. What these people have done, in my opinion, is give Peters and his immature sycophant Jonathan Lane fuel to reinforce the "haters" narrative. It's one thing to criticise Peters, criticisms which are perfectly valid and well earned, and it is another thing entirely to devote hours and hours a week, or even a day, to Peters and his destruction. Of course, they deny that they are doing so and pass it off as caring about artists rights, fan exploitation and so on. I'm sure they do care about these things, but it is clear they are also obsessed and have no intention of stopping until Peters is either in jail or begging on the streets. The whole thing has become sad, toxic and petty on both sides and I cringe at some of what I read on things like the comment sections of the dubious "Fan Film Factor". So really, TampAxanar is just the top of the iceberg.

I can't say I totally disagree with that opinion. However:

I'm trying to figure out how to paint him in a good light.

I mean, if you've ever had a negative interaction with him and/or been on the receiving end of one of his tirades, it's hard to be nice to the guy.

Oh I entirely agree. But I think some blogs, which shall remain unnamed, still go out of their way to put a negative spin on things even when there isn’t one. Put it this way, if Peters does something pretty innocent, like go out for a hot dog or something, certain individuals would be pouring over it looking for a negative angle. In other words, they don’t know when to stop.

Basically, this has gone on so long that both sides have gone beyond a position of reasonableness. The anti Axanar side used to have significant chunk of the moral high ground and I feel it has been squandered through the obsessive behaviour. While I am in principle on their side I am put off engaging in any of it to any degree these days because of that.

Peters is failing. Even if he somehow manages to even make his short films he is finished in fandom and im the industry. It is time for these people to realise that, take a look and themselves and realise they’re struggling to let it go.

That's the hope. However, Peters does have a history of popping up, doing stupid shit, then disappearing under the rug for months or a year or two and showing up again with a new "plan". I think that's driving some of this enduring criticism.

Yes, but for all his gloating hi never succeeds long term does he? What’s more, the Axanar litigation has brought him a negative reputatio that wasn’t nearly as known and pronounced in his Propworx day. The man is nearly 60 years old and for all his claims of success he hasn’t never had major success in any of his varied careers. Quite the opposite, and now he has very public embarrassment that will hang around him like a bad smell. That’s going to be there irrespective of the efforts of those gunning for him.

Many of us who continue to produce fan films in the Star Trek universe are a bit busy to become distracted by Peters. Just read his script for Prelude, it's a jumble of statements that Peters claims to have spent $130,000 dollars to produce. I know that fans getting together to produce a 21 minute fan film would love to have $130 thousand dollars to produce 50 21 minute fan films but that's not what Peters did, he brokered out the production to professionals. Then he spent the next year plus entering his professionally made product up against fan made films.
We don't like to admit that we do this for a wall full of awards but to bring one home an award once in a while is a huge pat on the back for all the hard work the cast and crew puts in. For a fan studio to post a win might make the difference between attracting a new talent when needed, that new talent could enable the studio to create something new and exciting in the future but No Peters has to run around the world pitting his professionally created product against truly fan made products. It feels like the dad that hires GM to design, build and create what his child enters into the local soap box derby.
In a just world, once that dad is found out, he atones for it, understands his error, publicly apologies for over indulging and then proves to the community that it will never happen again.
There is nothing I'd like better than to forgive and forget but that's on Peters to prove he is worthy of.

On another note this year at Treklanta The Last Child took 2nd fiddle, I looked up and it wasn't to a $130,000 dollar production. Congratulations to the Needs Of The Many on the win.

To be fair: In the beginning it was like a soap box derby and was thought out for such. But as the money rolled in, Alec wanted to join Indy 500. When CBS approached him, he stepped "officially" back a little and "claimed" it was just for your local soap box derby, but that wasn't the intend at all any longer.
That's the "mission creep" aspect of it all. Later "sunk cost fallacy" became a topic.
