News Companion Aftershow Talking Trek Announced

Thank the lord it’s not Hardwick. Was a bit worried it would be; much relieved it’s not. Mira is a solid choice.

I'm beyond thrilled Mira was selected for the gig instead of Mantz. His hosting of Star Trek: The Next Conversation shows just how deep his Trekkie cred runs. They couldn't have picked a better host.

Mira sounds like a good choice but am I the only one who thinks it would be fun for one of these shows to have someone who is kind of doing a character like Colbert use to do after Jon Stewart. You could maybe even get Parsons to play Sheldon as the interviewer.

Just heard that it will be netflix (for us international folks) and Space for those Canadians. TrekCore just posted an update on twitter. Linky

Couldn't afford Hardwick, huh? :p

Not sure how useful an aftershow would be but what the hell, I'm in!
I wouldn't want Hardwick to be honest - he's doing enough with TWD these days and he's getting a bit long in the tooth for me. Plus as this isn't a weekly TV series in that once an episode drops you can watch it at your leisure; IDK what purpose a show like this really serves as more episodes become available.

Watching this now - about halfway through it. Not impressed. And the did an interview with the crew who was elsewhere and the sound was too low. If I turned it up, Mira was SCREAMING from my computer; if I didn't, then I couldn't hear them.

Watched a little of it and my fears were confirmed. They were talking about 50 years of trek canon and one question from the audience had to do with Kirk and Janeway. I won’t be tuning into this.
