I hope it's the Dominion proper too. I wouldn't mind playing out a second Dominion War in STO, provided the motivations are compelling.

Season 14 is in October, that teaser at the end was unrelated to Season 14.
September 12th = "Beyond the Nexus" a mission with Geordi, plus they'll be giving away the 'Skant' uniform and the Type 7 Shuttle from TNG. They will also being selling the Galaxy-Class interior.
October = Season 14, with another mission featuring Geordi, involves finding a colony planet for the Kentari and Lukari, it was also be a 5 Tier Fleet Holding. They're also adding a new Tzenkethi queue.
Summer 2018 = What ever that Dominion thing was, considering how far in advance they teased it, I'm guessing it is probably the next Expansion.

That's unfortunate, hopefully that will change.
After all, the Kelvin universe was off limits to STO until last year.
Regrettably this probably means that any discovery material that will enter the game in the distant future will be REALLY tough to get.

The new feature episode is up. I think it felt short, but was fun to do. Gonna be fun redoing that mission, as the interior looks wonderful. I so want that interior.

The STO license may already cover it....their license is for all CBS owned Trek I believe. If it's Prime, it's in the game basically.
The STO team have said they're hopeful.
Their community manager has suggested that they don't know what kind of content they'll have as they've no inside knowledge to shape it around. A developer was also asked in a Q&A and suggested the soonest it could be done was the end of the year, but.... no promises. That was all via livestreams, but the info was relayed via Reddit as well.
Despite them not confirming when it'll happen, it's encouraging that they're not saying no flat out since they were very up front about the Kelvin Timeline content issues.
With STO things are always being planned in advance. Discovery might happen sometime in the future.
Indeed! The amount of work they put into each new ship, costume and environment is also quite demanding. I'd rather they're able to take their time and get it right rather than rush ahead.

And hopefully it is a couple of months away at minimum. I gathered all my space money in preparation, realised it wasn't happening any time soon and spent it all on a few other ships instead
Me too. Only bonus is that it's short, which is handy for replaying for reward collecting. That said, I'm still not completed some of the previous featured episodes. One of them just went really weird on me and I gave up until it started to work properly.

Ah. Cool. I checked the blog quick...it’s said Friday to Friday but also get them today. It’s possible I have lost track of what day it is today....
Awesome STO news. The DSC uniforms are available for free right now on PC (coming to consoles soon, they say). No doubt the new DSC ships will show up eventually. I'm so stoked for this. I love the DSC uniforms. Can't wait til they're on console.
