Yes, I often see emo kids wearing navy blue with metallic highlights and half a collar.




Barely any uniform fits a logical design evolution. TOS primary colours to pastel jumpsuits to heavy reds back to primary colours with a bit of black....

I was talking about the emo pants...not the collars...


They went back to the primary colors like 60 years later. Plus they weren't tunics. But the standard ship uniform now goes from blue and mustard tunics and black cuffed pants and boots..to a navy blue with gold/silver accents and a weirds cut and tight emo pants with weird looking boots....THAN 10 years later they go back to the same tunics from the cage and than change them shorty later to black collared and add red....sorry not buying it. Again they didn't even try to honor what came before. The egos of those involved won't allow them to do that. The communicators looks ok though.

I think they will keep the bridge layout the same, but update the computers and such.

The Discovery's bridge has a similar layout to the TOS Connie bridge already

Something in the EW article has me curious: it says that when Fuller departed and changes to the series format were made, the uniform design was changed from Fuller's idea, which was a muted version of the TOS uniform colors. I would love to see those designs!

Don't we get a quick flash of Burnham in a TOSish yellow/mustard top in the DSC trailer at about the time we hear "What the hell is going on on this ship?"

Yeah there is a flash of what looks like a mustard colour top. And a set visitor has reported seeing Cage like uniform 'prototypes' hanging up - I'm not sure why a rejected early prototype would be anywhere near the set, myself. I suspect there is more than one uniform type in use.

If I remember correctly the early uniform prototyps for "Enterprise" were shown in a special feature on the DVDs and they hung on the same coatrack as the finale uniforms for the actors.

Sorry it's just not a good look and probably not to versatile for military duty. The new Star Trek movies did a better job with the uniforms...
