LFIM screwing up is awesome entertainment. Now if he can just pull it off without effecting real fan films, that would be nice.
Planetary Union, I'm sure they have an Axanar star there ...Hint hint

Damn - AP is STILL wearing that same exact teal-blue t-shirt! Either that, or he has about 50 of them in his closet.

Wonder if he used the same shipping company that he "contracted out to" for PropWorx......

Nothing with regard to the Atlanta studio makes sense. If the plan was to make two more segments of the "Axanar mockentary" all that is really needs is 10-15m of talking heads waxing poetic on the greatness of Garth to narrate the likely 10-15m of effects footage Richter already delivered, plus the Vulcan scene. None of that requires sets, just greenscreens and costumes. No need to move to Atlanta for that.

I suspect that the Atlanta studio is working on a number of Captain Garth short films which Alec can write and star in. It would be produced by the Atlanta group that's backing him, and therefore doesn't violate the terms of the settlement.

It is simple. Vic and Cowley had a studio so he must have a studio too.

If I recall, he had made some sort of condition of the sale of the studio in LA that he could come back and use the green screen, at least for a while (assuming the owner doesn't tear it out I guess). Not so clear how solid that agreement was, just saw it suggested maybe from Jonathan's posts.

Since its a green screen he might not have to pay for and its near LA talent, it might make some sense that he would plan on it for the Axanar segments. Tho he could rent a green screen in Atlanta and fly in talent too. It might in the end be the only real way if the new owner says "sorry it wasn't in writing", or Axanar decides they actually need soundproofing to shoot, or something. "Going to LA to shoot" might in the end might just be a way to reduce the sting to donors of losing the studio by saying "yes its sold but we can still use it".

As for keeping the set, he might have been able to talk many donors into accepting that the studio, which was never suggested to be theirs to start with, had a financial failure and is gone. But tossing an unused set in the dumpster after spending so much on it? That might have made donors really come around to a lawsuit, and marked 'the end' of Axanar in the eyes of remaining supporters. Plus, he put so much effort into it and doubtless has all his visions of stories taking place there. It would be hard to let go in any case, no matter whether it made any economic sense to move on.

Generic Captain Garth films? That's not a bad idea. "The Continuing Adventures of Generic Captain Garth of HousebrandFleet". I really hope he comes to his senses about this, just lets Garth go, and then tries for his other SF production goals. GaryStu characters are obvious and fans really tend to fight back in the end.

Actually from rading the FFF blog it doesn't sounds like it is going to be industry studios mainly because if it was I'm sure Lane would have pointed that out. He just said an inexpensive place 30 minutes from LA.

After reading this I got an image in my head of Alec sitting alone on the bridge set yelling orders to imagine crewmen and pretending to fight Klingons.
