I hope this is the colour scheme we end up with in Trek 4, works very well with the general design.

I agree! I'd love to see more of that blue. I love the stepped bridge area. It just works so well.

It doesn't have to be a new class just an update of an existing class.

To draw an analogy look at cars a model can go through marks during it's life span.

    Wow!

Seeing Nightfevers renditions has actually reversed my opinion on the Beyond 1701-A (of which I wasn't much of a fan, based on what was shown onscreen) - but I've changed my tune!

I love it! And would love to see a diecast model producing of the Beyond -A!!!!

And I love being wrong! :luvlove: The A is beautiful!!!

Edit: I need to go rewatch the 1701-A barrel-roll once more!!!!

Edit 2: sorry - missed thanking PixelMagic also! Didn't realise he did the rendering of the 3D model - my apologies for being slow on the uptake, so to speak! :sigh: Awesome work PixelMagic!!!!

The only one I know of is @MadMan1701A in his 3D printing thread, but his images from that time are offline, and it's not quite a pure clone. He did it before the film came out on home video, and his philosophy is to adjust designs to his taste rather than going for a 100% match to the original, which is probably a good idea when it comes to the Beyond version of the Enterprise (and I say that as someone who thought it looked better than ever in that movie).

The Beyond-nil is honestly a deeply weird looking ship from most conventional angles. It seems to have almost been redesigned in forced perspective, so it'd look super long and sleek when shot from up close, down its length, andwith a wide-angle lens (which is not coincidentally how it's mostly filmed in Beyond), but in the handful of wide shots you can get a sense for how weirdly short and far back the warp engines are, or how stubby the back of the neck is compared to the smooth curve of the ship's spine in the first two movies.

I'm really looking forward to seeing some more pictures when Eaglemoss does their version, just so I can get a better sense of the overall shape as a unit. I have a feeling it'll look like a slightly abstracted version of the Enterprise, like this Mark Rademaker model.

    @David cgc some good points.

looking forward to having the eaglemoss ship in hand to get a better sense of it. it's possible we'll get some info this december with the art of the kelvin timeline book.

hargreaves pointed out in one of his interviews that the original ryan church enterprise's nacelles were too close to the primary hull and that it created a visual conflict. ever since then i can't unsee it.

as much as i appreciate the new A, i'm bummed we won't be seeing the beyond version of the enterprise in any more films. (if we even see the A in any more films.)

Damn. I am really torn over all these images. It is clear to me that very talented people are doing some amazing work, but every time I see one of these renders I'm reminded just how much I really dislike the source material. Makes me sad. :(

I'm so keeeeen to see the Ent-A in another Trek movie!

    C'mon Paramount - Do it!!!!!

Don't leave us hanging with a new Enterprise 1701-A being built and then barrel rolling to warp!!!!

    Otherwise, 'tis sooooo cruel!

    :cardie:  :wah:

Short and sweet flyby of Alexander Klemm's (nightfever) Enterprise-A. This is just one shot to a larger project, but I thought I'd share. Looped for your enjoyment.
