Indeed. All peacocks should be required to use that fanfare as their personal theme music.

That idea is something akin to Torgo's theme from Manos: The Hands of Fate (which by the way, would have made for great music to accompany some scenes in TOS).

So that way when a new series in 20 years decides to flesh out "random background Alien" some fans can complain that it's not faithful to a book that fewer than a thousand people ever read.
