Will Discovery be on Netflix after season 1 airs?

Might even use the GoT method of not even being available on iTunes till after home video release.
Definite possibility.
I just hope CBS is saving up all these interviews and other stuff related to the launch of Discovery for the Blu-ray special features.
I doubt it.
But if subscriptions to CBS All Access don't increase much after DSC airs, I wouldn't be surprised if CBS cut some sort of deal with Netflix to stream CBS All Access programming after a season ends. Heck, that might actually help CBS All Access subscriptions. I could see someone binging on Discovery or The Good Fight on Netflix and decide they like it enough and want to watch the next season as it airs, so they subscribe to CBS All Access. That's what happened with Breaking Bad. People found it on Netflix, and then checked to see if they even had AMC so they can watch the next season. Just throwing that out there as I know executives from CBS read all my TrekBBS posts.

I think Roger Meyer Burnett said they had some high-end special features guys involved in the production a while back.
I am betting CBS will eventually air the show on their regular network sometime after the all-access debut. The only doubt I have is how long that will take. It might be a few months it might be a few years for syndication. Netflix might be an option if Netflix offers enough money.

I would bet this is the case as the LAST THING CBS wants is to compete with any other VOD/Streaming service with a show CBS has produced. They want the primary source of access to ST: D to be a sub to CBS All Access - and they won't license it out on other services until they've done their own Blu-Ray/DVD release first.
If I had to guess, I would imagine that Discovery will release each season on Amazon Video, iTunes, VUDU, et al., and Blu-Ray and perhaps 4K Ultra HD Blu-Ray one or two years after, much like Netflix does with their original shows. I highly doubt it will make it to Netflix until after the series concludes.

It will be available with a Netflix subscription outside of the USA. For example I watch the south american Netflix and it will be on Netflix for me. Evidently America will be the only region where it will be on CBS AllAccess.
I just hope they release discs at some point. We can no longer take it for granted that any particular show will eventually get a disc release.
It's CBS - they LOVE to milk Star Trek fans, so yeah, it'll get a Blu-Ray release at some point (Maybe just in the U.S. but still).

I doubt it. CBS just picked up three more shows for All Access. They're going to have a full slate in a couple of years.
