Who saw voyager when it aired?

Yep.
BBC 2 originally had the rights to Voyager before they switched to Sky on season 4 (I think).
I bought the old On Digital box a short time after and was soon back to week to week voyager.
The advert breaks took a bit getting used to after years of Trek on the BBC though.

I can only say that I used to watch it when BBC2 originally aired it, but I saw it on video when that was first released in - I think - 1995.

I only watched one episode during the first run: Scorpion 1 & 2 (and that only because my roommate at the time was watching the series). Never watched another ep until a couple of months ago.

I watched it from season 2 to the end. I couldn't get UPN during season 1, but then I moved and from then on was able to watch it.

I watched Voyager when it originally aired and I stuck it out til the bitter end. I was there for the original Star Trek from the 2nd episode and all the others. ST Beyond is the first of the movies I haven't seen yet. Trek doesn't hold me like it used to. The Original will always be true Trek for me, but Voyager held a special place in my imagination, though it could have been much better.

In the UK, Voyager premiered on VHS. I brought "Volume 1.1" (Caretaker) in the first week of release (June 1995). Tried to keep up with subsequent volumes (normally settling for watching my friend's copies instead of buying them, as I was only 15 and collecting DS9 VHS tapes at the same time!) but lost interest toward end of season 2.

Lots of nostalgia now around collecting good old CIC releases.

Watched the odd episode on BBC2, but have not seen much of anything after the "Basics" two-parter. One of these days I will watch the whole thing again!

He's more a nuisance in the non Neelix episodes where he always pops in and badgers people.
I cannot say this with 100% certainty, but I think I preferred Neelix centered episodes overy Kim centered eps (except Timeless of course and maybe The chute).

If I were on board, I'd teach Neelix Vulcan breathing techniques and human etiquette.

I watched each of the spinoff series from the premiere until their final episodes, on the night they aired. Even though I'm not the biggest fan of Voyager, I do like watching it now and again. I remember getting in the mail the pack of microwave popcorn from the local UPN station for the premiere! And of course I made that to watch the first episode! What's funny is that one of my neighbors in the apartment building gave me theirs a day or two later, knowing I was a fan and that I might want it.

I still have that one, unpopped and sealed.

Actually, I liked "Caretaker" a lot. It had some TOS type moments and was enjoyable. I had a lot of issues with episodes throughout the series run, but I just powered through them.

I'll watch episodes now on H&I network, and there are some good moments in the series. I just wish some of the characters were not as bland and the writing were better.

I faithfully watched nearly every single episode on UPN from day one.

Kor

I've heard a lot of people say that UPN was such a small network and a lot of people didn't have it or it was hard to find, but it must vary by region. UPN was a pretty big station where I live, as was the WB.

Now you have to show your hardcore fandom and EAT that popcorn for the Discovery premiere!

UPN was carried in the evening prime time slot on one of the Philadelphia stations, as was WB. What were the 3 bigger UHF stations picked up FOX, UPN and WB, so I was able to watch all the Trek series.

The one anomaly happened was when TNG was about to premiere, the newspaper said that it would carry on the channel TOS reruns were running, but in Philadelphia at the time, that wasn't the case: Channel 17 (who would later pick up WB) ran TOS and Channel 29 (FOX) ran TNG and DS9. UPN went to Channel 57, so VOY was there.

I have tried bubblegum from packs of baseball cards of varying vintages on bets, so maybe I'll experiment with the popcorn! It probably has so many additives in it that it may still be good!

I'm pretty sure in the uk there was a BBC Star Trek night celebrating 30 years of trek with programmes starting in the early evening then at about 11:30 pm (or around that time) they premiered Star Trek voyager. I was only 11 at the time though so remember having to tape it (a phrase not used anymore) and watched it the next day. From then I watched it on the BBC on Sunday evenings

I watched every episode as it aired here in the UK.
When DS9 and VOY were both on TV, it was a great time to be a Trek fan.

And The Disease only it was the guest star that I paid more attention to.
Ha, she is a beautiful woman.
I do have a favorite scene. That one shot from the conference room to her ready room. No cuts in dialog. But the hypocrisy of the theme of Disease distracted me from some of the intended points. A generation ship! Eventually has people trying to bite their own leg off to escape. I was more interested in exploring what might be Voyagers culture shift rather than Harry's love bond.

That was a great moving shot. The episode created a regulation that a crewmember had to get permission from the captain to have sex with an alien! Seems Chakotay forgot about that one... I can understand people needing to be careful, but that seems a little unrealistic. It was never mentioned before or after.
