Contest: ENTER July 2017 Art Challenge — “Walk Like an Egyptian”

The theme for this months art challenge is Egypt. I was thinking long and hard about a couple of ideas for this month's theme, but ancient Egyptians, pyramids, mummies and hieroglyphs have always fascinated me since I was a child. It's just something that inspires me and I love to dabble with. I hope you agree that it's a broad enough theme for everyone to work in.

Maybe you can show us how the Borg would build their ships if they were Egyptians. Maybe you can reimagine familiar Treknology as Egyptian “steampunk” tech. Or maybe you'll let us see how Kirk & Spock beam down to a planet with a civilization strikingly similar to ancient Egypt. The possibilities are virtually endless.

Are there any questions or suggestions?

Sorry about the delay. We're a bit late this month, but I'm sure everyone will have ample time to join in. If necessary, we can always extend the submission period for a couple of days. Just let us know in this thread.

Yeah, hadn't thought about that. A mashup of Vulcan and Egyptian iconography would be awesome!

- Yikes! My effort is quite similar. I don't know how I managed to not see (or overlook) that artwork when I googled Star Trek + Egypt?!

You spelled hieroglyphs wrong. But I guess whoever prepared that report could have done so also. I thought you were going to leave the image as is, but adding some (time meddling) context was a nice touch.
