Why can't we rank characters by physical attractiveness, male or female? And what does 2017 have to do with anything?
Well, I'm not telling you how to rank them. As I said up-topic, I left that open to the reader. Would you rather that I had asked:
Which female wins your vote for Miss Trek Universe?
Which female actress would you leave your wife/girlfriend for?
Which female character would you have liked to serve with?
(For me: toss-up between Counselor Troy and Seven of Nine / Nichole de Boer or Yvonne Craig / Major Kira or "Number One")

2017 indeed. We are now living in the era of hypersensitivity, in the land of the perpetually offended.
I noticed that Kelvin Universe, Carol Marcus got a vote by why not Prime universe Carol Marcus? I think she gave a nice performance and for once we see a woman romantic interest that feels like she is his equal and not just a hot babe he got to have sex with. Well her and Edith Keeler that is.

I don't see any real problem with deciding which of the Trek characters one finds most sexually attractive. The only sexist thing I would see is automatically taking the subject of this thread to mean that specifically, and ignoring that women are complete people to be appreciated on multiple parameters, just like anyone else. For me, my favorite Trek female...
...to command the mission would be Kira Nerys, because she's moral, has command presence, and is very competent.
...to have a relationship under regular circumstances with would be Leeta, because she's very attractive and has a very agreeable personality to me, and I don't mind that she might not have a lot of formal education, because I enjoy teaching, and, teaching to catch her up on 24th century matters would catch *me* up, too.
...to have in my away team or other mission would be Seven, because of the wide variety of knowledge and skill her experience with the Borg brings to the team, plus, Borg implant enhanced strength.
...to be stranded on the proverbial desert island with would be Ezri Dax, because I think our personalities would be compatible, she would bring a lot of survival skills and knowledge to the table, and a lot of interesting stories from all of her lives to pass the time with.

Seven of Nine. Not for the ridiculous outfit and oversexed appearance, but for her trying to understand and fit in amongst humans which I really relate to.
Because it's vulgar and demeaning to women.
Many female posters over the years have expressed discomfort with the way women are treated here. The objectification (for example, the old "Babe of the Week" threads) has made them feel less than welcome, and they spoke up about it.
We try to make this board a comfortable place for everyone, that means listening to the customers, evolving, and learning. So we as a staff took steps to try and make it better. The BOTW threads were banned. Posters have been addressed over sexist comments.
No one said you can't appreciate someone's appearance, but ranking people by physical attributes reduces them to objects, and that's not the kind of place we want to be.

The character was badly conceived and often misused and the writers never seemed to find a way to make her job fit entirely convincingly into a lot of the stories especially early on. And, early on, there was discussion about diminishing or dropping the character.
So I guess I like her mainly for Sirtis, who fought to keep the character on and relevant, could handle pretty much whatever nonsense the writers threw at her and who is a charismatic actor and good-humored enough to have become popular with a lot of viewers who were iffy on Troi.

Board Manager and WOMAN speaking up. 100% agree. Trust me, it gets old to be reduced to tits and ass. it's demoralizing and over time, infuriating. So I suggest that you go along nicely or find somewhere else to play because this woman isn't having it and luckily, I have the power to stop it here at least.

I'd say Pulaski or B'elanna.
Pulaski wouldn't take crap from no one (except when written very badly); very sweet and able to kill a klingon at 100 yards with her sharp wit.
B'elanna was extremely competent, and extremely unorthodox, and also i feel bad for her since she felt a little out of place on Voyager at first. A self-made woman who found herself in some tough spots but still did something with her life.
I severely disliked Troi for her being portrayed as basically a "brainless babe" although that got better in the later seasons, I just never grokked her.
