Yes, I know this is like asking "Ginger or Mary Ann" on a grand scale....

Guys, (and gals, if you like): Who is your favorite female, character or actress, in all of *official* Star Trek (no fan-films)??

For me, it used to be Yvonne Craig (Marta in "Whom Gods Destroy" / aka Batgirl), but I absolutely adored Nicole de Boer (aka Ezri Dax, even though I didn't care much for the character). It was close, but I'll give the edge to Nicole.
 
I got to go with Kira. Best backstory of any of the other female characters and well acted. Also liked how she matured over the years but still didn't go soft because of that. The anger was still their in the later seasons but she seemed to have more control over it.

Hard to narrow down, so I'm gonna have to go for the best character/actor combo of Ezri/Nicole de Boer.

I think the idea of a host being thrust the responsibilities (and everything else that comes with it) of an unwanted symbiont was a great idea to follow the death of Jadzia. It gives us such an insight into Trills as a species as much as an individual (or as individual as you can be if you're joined) character, and although there were things which felt rushed over just a single season, as a whole her arc just worked (not to mention how it was continued in the novels).

And as for Nicole herself, admiration for being able to pull it off, I think she's equally great in what else I've seen her in (Cube, the Dead Zone), and how far is the OP wanting/expecting us to go in terms of appreciation other than just #majorcrush? :p
 
Janeway,Torres and Ezri are sort of tied in terms of who I would rank second behind Kira. Jadzia and Kelvin Universe Uhura are slightly below them.

Carolyn Seymour is good as the various Romulans and other miscellaneous characters

I get a kick out of the Duras sisters of course.

And a big shout out to Michelle Forbes as Ro Laren. Kira is cool and Marina Sirtis for whenever Troi gets cranky.
 
The thread is vague: is this best actress, best character, prettiest?

Nana Visitor plays my favourite female character in the franchise: a stellar performance and an excellent character. Easily in my top 5 Trek characters.

I also think Mulgrew was brilliant as Janeway.
I think Jeri Ryan was great as Seven.
Also, Dawson is vastly underrated as B'elanna. Great character (not always greatly written - but she is like a vehicle for mental health issues) who is always fun. Hmm, she is a bit like Voyager's Kira in some ways.
 
Take it how ever you want. I intentionally left it up to the reader to decide what "favorite" meant to him/her.
 
Arlene Martel as T'Pring. Proving conclusively that Vulcan women can be just as deceitful and conniving as women anywhere else.
