Interesting characters that should have recurred

The woman who worked in engineering. Was her name McMasters?

....and this dude, too. Sleeping on the job, eh? You're demoted to cleaning Kirk's bathroom, wherever that is.

Trip had to answer a poop question in an episode of ENT.

Egads. My whole concept of life, the universe, and everything has just been turned upside down. I suppose you're going to tell me next that there ARE bras in space?

I just can't handle.

;)

Sorry, no, really, I've only seen one episode of Enterprise. :)

Really? I mean even if you don't like it, you don't want to watch it just to see what happens?

Yeah, I used to think that way about Doctor Who, too, but I gave up on it, as well.

I was mostly against Enterprise simply because in my Canon (and in established Canon previously), the Enterprise prior to the Constitution Class ship was the Ring Ship Starliner. Had they done what they're doing now with Discovery and put the show on another ship, I may have had more patience for it. However, my other problem with is was the first character I saw in the first episode...a NuKlingon, not a Cuban TOS Klingon. Yes, I realize Worf confirmed that there was something "different" about some Klingons, but I just feel that TOS has been completely ignored for too long now.

I did get the feeling at times through the 90's that there was a push to ignore TOS and shove TNG down our throats as the REAL Star Trek we should all be paying homage to. I did feel that some of that bled into ENT especially with episodes featuring Ferengi and Borg. Um, this is supposed to be a TOS prequel, not a TNG prequel, okay, guys? I think they really tried to go back to TOS in their final season, and I appreciated the effort, but too little too late I'd say.

Actually, I really appreciated that ENT explained why there are NuKlingons and Cuban Klingons. ENT's one contribution to Prime Trek canon?

There were things I liked about ENT, I didn't hate the show. But I was often disappointed feeling that they could have done so much more with what they had to work with.

Even though he was killed..I always
wanted to see K'Bob the Discount Klingon again.

Kras, The cowardly Klingon who was never called anything other than Klingon in the episode and didn't look too much like a Klingon or even acted like a Klingon! :klingon:

ENT is not TNG or VGR.

At any rate, I thought Voyager sucked, but I watched it every week because it was Star Trek, and I at least wanted to see what happened.

I have no problem with those that do this, nor with horrible shows like Moffat Who, but at the same time I get the feeling that this is one of the reasons we keep getting mediocre entertainment in the name of Star Trek or Doctor Who or Star Wars.

It's the same with merchandising. If people keep buying up whatever garbage they put out (like Diamond Selects Orangesickle Enterprise) we'll keep getting crap rather than products being improved.

His great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great grandfather was also the communications officer on another famous ship that sailed the earth's oceans back in the twentieth century as well! :D
