Interesting characters that should have recurred

I think Diana Muldaur would have been a good regular crew member. Maybe as Miranda - a blind navigator with enhanced sensors.
,.
You mean like a female Geordi, but with a personality?

Her Ann Mulhall character was okay, but I preferred her as Dr. Pulaski.

Yes, like Geordi. We really didn't get to know Ann Mulhall, but a Miranda-like character, perhaps alien, would have been an interesting addition.

Noel, Barrows, Masterson, Riley, M'Benga, Mulhall, and Rand should have had a couple of guest slots per season.

Miranda Jones was a good example of how to do a decent telepath character. I would have loved it if she had stayed around or even if Troi had used her version of telepathy as a template. Far more interesting.

Would have been nice to learn more about The Klingon government and their world. I know there was a script called Kitumba for the proposed seventies series but still...

I always do wonder how the Klingons might've developed had they made Kitumba, if I remember correctly the script went down a very different path to what we ultimately got.

Sorry for this, I wasn't sure if I should make a new thread, but it ties in with this Q..
Seeing as how TNG remade 'The Naked Time' into 'The Naked Now', what TOS/TAS episodes would anyone have liked for the TNG crew to mention in dialogue, or revisit?
I'd have to say Miri's planet, The Guardian, Sigma Iota II (Gangster planet), Cestus III (the planet the Gorn claimed), 892-IV (Bread and Circuses), and I would have liked to see Vulcan before ENT did their episodes, and TNG just picked up Sarek and Perrin on Vulcan.

Cestus III was named more than once on DS9. It was an outpost that Kasidy Yates had made deliveries to, I believe. And the Gorn had given it up to the Federation by that point.

Another episode with The Gorn hegemony was sadly missing from the series I hasten to add! :weep:
