They changed the Klingons? AGAIN???

So is the implication there that this poll not indicative? That is rubbish.A relatively slim majority... on a nerd-heavy forum whose membership represents a fraction of 1% of the total Trek viewing audience.
Clearly, the producers should be running scared over this backlash.
The average viewer is going to care.
Emilia I didn't misuse plagiarism. And I gather you want me to be 'angry' but I'm not. You seem to be overly focused on my opinions. It's got nothing to do with what I say. It's simply not the poll question.
I have already explained that I voted "I don't like the look" for aesthetic reasons that have nothing to do with inconsistency. You will never know how many others voted based on "consistency"-issues because it's simply not the question.
It also says nothing about how strong the dislike is. Apparently the look is a huge issue to you which makes you not want to watch the show. We have no idea how many people have extremes views like you and the poll doesn't answer this either.
I mean, damn... you even completely misused the term "plagiarism" in one of your angry posts.Words have meanings!

I said they were plagiarising a known quantity.. that is what I said. You said the creators of Discovery plagiarized Star Trek.
Nothing that happened fits the definition of plagiarism. Like I said: Words have meanings.
They have a license and they will most certainly credit the original creator. It literally cannot be plagiarism.
I said they were plagiarising a known quantity.. that is what I said.
I stand by it.
I didn't put this poll up.. but it shows people do have a different reaction to just accepting this version of Klingons. Why complicated it? Just consider them the same as the TOS and TNG version of Klingon. Just think them as a re-imagination of the species. If the TOS fans can accept the change when TNG released, why can't we? Don't over analyst the show too much. Star Trek need to evolve. Like Star Trek TOS that evolve to Star Trek TNG. Now they need to evolve again. So accept them and enjoy
I personally like this Klingon. They look more Alien than the Biker gang version of Klingon from TNG.
You sound angry. You can stand by whatever you want. Doesn't change the fact that it simply does not constitute an act of plagiarism because it doesn't fit the central aspects of the definition.
You can, of course, use words any way you want but then nothing you say will make sense to us. You can start using the word "peach" to refer to a chair if you want. We'll just be over here, watching in amazement.
