Spider-Man: Homecoming' anticipation thread

Wait a minute. I thought Tony was merely a guest star in this film. Are you saying that he is one-half of what this movie is about? Please tell me that I got it wrong.
Based in the bits of information we have, it looks like people are blowing his appearance way out of proportion.

Stark has about fifteen minutes of screentime. He's there in the beginning, he quickly shows up to help Peter with the boat incident then takes the suit away, and then he's back at the end to defeat Vulture.

Interesting. I just went from "Meh" to "I'm listening." I still don't care about Venom, but I'll watch anything with Tom Hardy (except that one film and that wasn't his fault).

I'm not sure it's the perfect fit, but it's better than Topher Grace. Glad to see that guy from Star Trek: Nemesis is still getting work.

Same for me. Tom Hardy is one of those actors I'll pay to see in movies.

Sony, Sony, Sony.

Resident Evil, Ghostbusters (2016), Passengers, Inferno, all the Seth Rogen comedies, the Cameron Diaz comedies, Chappie, Annie (2014), Pixels, The Amazing Spider-Man 2. I just can't with you.

Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in!

So Giacchino tweeted a video of him recording part of the SM Homecoming score.

And... it's an orchestral version of the old cartoon theme song? Really?

We don't know if it's actually part of the score. It could be just something the orchestra did for fun.

It reminded me a bit of the incidental music for the '90s FOX Spider-Man cartoon, which was a rich orchestral score (rare for the time) built around a main theme that was a loose homage to the '60s theme song.

Actually they are using it for the main titles.

In the video, if you look closely enough, the monitor in front of the conductor is playing the Marvel Studios logo.

So this is likely what the final product would look and sound like:

I just can't geek out enough over this.

Now that was a lot of fun. The other trailers have had me on the fence with this one so far, but this makes me far more inclined to go see it.
