Sorry for so many posts but I'm kind of excited right now. Does anyone think the bluish skinned alien with the honeycomb looking patterns on his head could be some sort of reimagined Bolian? Or just something completely new?

And: It has a Kelvin-timeline style bridge window. Prime timeline my ass. ;)

Right. Note like when this happened...

Can anyone help make out the names on this screen? I think one of them is Mizar

Looks like one of the other names is Merak, i.e. Merak II from "The Cloud Minders".

I hear some are saying this takes place in the Kelvin timeline is that true?

No. DSC takes place in the prime timeline.

How the show LOOKS is irrelevant. You can have a show that looks different but still takes place in the same timeline. Worked for the TOS movies, didn't it?

At least part of the map is the Big dipper.

Also netflix trailer, it is cut differently and doesn't seem to be colour corrected

There's a lot of speculation based on the look of the series being very similar to the movies, but that doesn't mean it's set in the Kelvin timeline. It's very similar to the Kelvin itself, which was (initally) part of the prime universe too. It's more to do with 21st Century aesthetics than 23rd Century narratives.

First time logging into this site for over 10 years. Just came in to say this looks like absolute garbage. Prime universe, yeah right.... Star Trek died with Enterprise and we all may as well face it.

Bryan Fuller and even recently one of the producers confirmed it is Prime Timeline.
