With her being the lead of the series named Discovery, I doubt she's serving on the Shenzhou. More likely we're seeing a joint mission between the two ships.

In honor of this special occasion, I shall give my Pax a thorough cleaning and a fresh load. One simply does not view the 1st trailer for a new Star Trek series without the benefit of herbal enhancement.

I've seen some mention of clip on Twitter, but it seems to be a trailer based on what Moonves said.

Also it seems we shall likely get the clip/trailer around 4 pm when the official presentation starts.

the outfits don't look look like uniforms, they're not 'uniform'. They look like blending in gear, not standard issue.
Their goggles don't match.
