Loose lipped Poe

His plan sure does depend on so many variables working out in his favor, it's almost like it was shitty writing that people try to justify by making up excuses that it was Palpatine the whole time.

His plan would have gone horribly wrong if Anakin and Padme hadn't gone to Tatooine to find his mother dying just as he found her allowing him to commit genocide, which wasn't a turn-off for Space Eva. Then they both go to Genonois after Obi-Wan conveniently locates the clone army that Palpatine ordered a decade ago, based on the advice of his CG cartoon friend, then they get captured and then finally falling in love. One thing goes wrong and Padme has an awkward weekend with a creep she knew as a child and Palpatine is fucked.
Uh, let's see.
1) Palpatine literally asks for Obi and Ani so that's not a justification, it's straight up in the film.
2) Palpatine is implied to have had his hand in the Tusken incident, as per the opening of RotS. ("remember what you told me about your mother and the sand people?")
3) Jango uses a dart instead of a blaster BECAUSE it's time for the Jedi to find Kamino. And Obi has to ask his contacts because Kamino was erased so no one would find it early.

So yeah, no more "easy" than ANH.

Are you trying to convince me this isn't bad writing?

Yes?
What about that is any more contrived than egregious stuff like Leia leading the Empire right to Yavin 4?
I agree, Lucas isn't a great writer. That at works since it's established that the Empire put a tracking device on the Falcon and Leia figures it out when they escape with little effort, they then at least get enough time to mount an attack. Really all this does to set up a ticking clock.

And you have yet to explain the issue.
Nothing Palp does in the PT is as poorly thought out as his dumb non-plan to get Luke to become his servant.
True, he should have introduced Luke to a wooden love interest. That worked on his dad.

But they could have done absolutely anything else.
Go get a different ship and then fly to Yavin. Park the Falcon, get the tracker off, then fly to Yavin. Email the plans to Yavin.

Sounds awful, especially when the Death Star has been established as a major threat. If they had done that it would have been seen as wasting time when they needed to be analyzing the plans to find a weakness as quickly as possible before more planets were destroyed.
Seriously though, Palps' plan in RotJ is dumber than any scheme of his in the PT.
Making Luke angry won't make him his servant, it'll just make Luke angry at him.
He wanted to push Luke to the Dark Side, something we've shown on screen. Luke nearly kills Vader but stops himself at the last moment when he realizes how much he's like his father.

It's not the best plan but if Luke hadn't noticed that he and his father both had mechanical limbs it might have worked. They don't explain it in graphic detail but it's shown in the performance. It's how movies are supposed to be made.

Both of these blocks of text don't actually explain away any of my complains, you have just said "but they're good because they're good".

The dark side of the force has clouded your vision my friend.

Did you actually read them or did your eyes gloss over at the idea of reading more than one sentence so you ignored it and made a pathetic reply because I addressed your childlike complaints. You're nitpicking minor issues, everyone else is complaining about major details.

What the hell?
You didn't refute anything.
My suggestions for Leia would have taken minimal extra time and would not have put Yavin at risk, and for the RotJ thing you just said "It's how movies are supposed to be made, it's not the best plan though.".

Let me borrow your mindset and appeal to society here.

"One of the least satisfying situations in all the movies was exactly why it was that the Emperor thought Luke Skywalker could be won over to the Dark Side of the Force. He never gave him very good reasons, apart from vague promises about "the Power" and exhortations to let out his anger and hatred. That Luke could resist this was not so surprising. The greatest challenge for Lucas was to do better this time. He does."

His scheme in PT is dependent upon lots of patsies, and the Jedi being dumb.

His scheme in ROTJ is pretty straight forward. Lure the Rebel fleet to attack through misinformation, and tempt Luke to the Dark Side. Luke is afraid of losing his friends, and angry at Palpatine. Which follows the path to the Dark Side that Yoda stated in the last film.

But Luke has absolutely no motivation to join Palp.
Falling to the dark side=/=joining Palp.
Logically he would just fall to the dark side then KILL Palp.
And keeping in mind that the dark side merely warps your fears and desires, it's unlikely that Luke would be warped into a galactic dictator like his father, since his character make-up is distinctly different.

But the Emperor doesn't know that. He's overconfident that he can move Luke over, and he will deal with the details of his corruption later.

As Luke states, his overconfidence is his weakness.

Exactly, The Emperor is an idiot. A guy that dumb would never have become galactic Emperor.

He's not as dumb as is being portrayed. It's more of an expectation of what will occur, since, frankly, it happened in the past.

Secondly, the Emperor is myopic. He wants to destroy any threat, from Luke to the Rebellion. So, if Vader kills Luke, the Emperor wins. If Luke kills Vader, then his anger will consume him, the Emperor will capture his friends and use his fear to corrupt him.
