I wonder if he heard about the I-85 collapse ... it would mirror his own.

I'll be surprised if he doesn't just abandon the incomplete sets when he moves out of the building.

AP decided a long time ago to move to Georgia, evidenced by his lawyer setting up mirror companies there. Same names and everything.
He's running from LaLa Land to GaGa Land.![]()
I'm not as sure as you are on that. I remember that this guy can be quite charismatic. I 'think' he will always attract new unsuspecting people who will want to believe. Who will willing serve his plans. He's awesome at conventions=money there. I see a new stories blossom for new 'Make Your Dreams Come True By Being Part Of' with public or private funds raised. I 'think' he still has enough contacts to begin all over again. He.Has.Done.This.Before.Only problem with being like starbase studios is he has no money to build a second studio
I take your point. Though I 'think' the fan film community is much much larger than those I'm aware of. New people are coming in all the time. And speaking of time, it has a way of fading that which seems huge right now. New people could easily latch onto the aging old guy who talks about all the filming and producing he's done. <pull up Prelude> They're looking for someone, anyone, to help them begin, show them the ropes, get a toe in the door. Get the filming out of the basement. The naive, eager, hopeful of every age. Wanting to be part of something bigger.and nobody in the fan film community wants anything to do with him.
oooooooo, me Either! I believe this is just one more layer we're seeing right. With sooooo many more right behind them.If he can use the studio he already built why leave and build a new one and move the seat cross country? I don't think the deal with Danny is how it's being presented.
That would be interesting.I hope axamonitor or Trekzone can get an interview with Danny.
Wait. Is this true? Not really. KS has gone to [the dogs]. See the trick is to string people along with project delays until after the chargeback period (180 days) expires. KS won't issue refunds - their policy is it's between the backer and the project owners.
Only recourse is to file in small claims court, but good luck enforcing it.
Odd Today CGTV is doing a large segment on the benefits of Indiegogo in Asia. Why are they calling it equity investments over there? On this edition of The Trekzone Spotlight I had intended to interview John Trigonis – Indiegogo’s Film, Creative & Equity Campaign Stategist, For several weeks we worked towards a date and time to discuss crowdfunding and the complexities of staying honest and within the project goals, however when he wanted to confirm what specifically we were talking about he pulled out and refused to talk further – even now dodging my emails. On this edition, my thoughts about Axanar as I take a stand.
My editorial is live:

It will be a sad day, because we won't have Lord Foot-in-Mouth to kick around any more.*Honestly, the fact that AP is a scam artist is nothing new. I am looking forward to the day when he disappears from Trek fandom forever.
I'm not as sure as you are on that. I remember that this guy can be quite charismatic. I 'think' he will always attract new meat to serve his plans. He's awesome at conventions=money there. I see a new story blossom for a new 'Make Your Dreams Come True By Being Part Of' public or private funds raised. I 'think' he still has enough contacts to begin all over again. He.Has.Done.This.Before.For not even a New York Second do I 'think' his game is more than momentarily crippled. I have every confidence he will live to feed again. And be adored again. And spin dreams again. Etc.

He can do that. He thrives doing that. He's at his best doing that. This is his talent. Not following through, not business acumen. He gathers people. He cultivates a following.
Plus there still Will be those who will never leave him, always believe in him. Even seeing when he lies straight faced. This just is.

See, I'm still speculating he hasn't really left industry studios. The pieces of the game are just being shuffled around. And I could be off the charts wrong on this. But Bawden's still with him? rmb is still with him? Now there's landlordDanny?
Now if (again, hypothetically) they are connected in some way this tells me revenue/income/money/mula-making is getting ready to get in gear. For Mr.B, l-D, AND defendantG. And maybe in some way for rmb.
I'm waiting, thinking, anticipating, there are more shoes lining up to drop. Not for a second do I think this is about over.

I hear Star Trek Continues sets are available. Perhaps Alec should ask Vic for help.I'm pretty sure we'll soon be seeing another update that they've decided to scrap the Axanar sets, citing the high cost of moving and storing them, and the limited time available to make such arrangements. Alec will no doubt say that it would be cheaper to recreate the sets elsewhere, with the bonus of making them even better than they were going to be. So the spin will be that it's a win, and smart use of donor money. But the unspoken truth is it will make it easier to just pocket the IGG money, with no immediate, verifiable use for the cash.
Mark my words.

But, Google is forever. Perhaps they will pull up Prelude. But, they will also pull up "Sued by CBS" and "Scam artist."
There was already one in Los Angeles, too, but that didn't stop him.Hope he realizes there is already an industry studios in Atlanta.
I think the 200+ number, based on contributors to the Indiegogo campaign, is probably a more accurate number. Still, a pretty big comedown from the vaunted 15,000 he says he once commanded. His support is failing quickly. He has about a half dozen true believsrs and that's about it.

Or he'll say that the plan was always to destroy the sets and rebuild them later and anyone who says otherwise is a hateful lying hater. And that we should stay tuned for a big announcement soon.I'm pretty sure we'll soon be seeing another update that they've decided to scrap the Axanar sets, citing the high cost of moving and storing them, and the limited time available to make such arrangements.
