As I am a bit new to this thread (Only a few months) and to Star Trek Lit as whole, I was curious, as the title of this thread states, which title thus far, seems to be in your opinion the best Cardassian based title to date. This could include a main character that is Cardassian or takes place in around Cardassia Prime etc... I apologize if this is a repeated thread. I recently finished James Swallow's Day of the Viper's and was much more impressed than I originally thought I was going to be. Very solid title in my opinion. I would have to assume, by default, one of Una's title will show up here. Either way, i look forward to your choices. Thanks in advance!
I liked The Crimson Shadow, and I also dug KRAD's Klingon/Cardassian novel, The Art of the Impossible.
A Stitch in Time, Andrew Robinson's Garak "autobiography" is amazing, even beyond Star Trek. The Never-Ending Sacrifice and The Crimson Shadow are also both great books. The Art of the Impossible by Keith R.A. DeCandido (@KRAD) is another favorite of mine.
Of the ones I've read, I'd go with The Never-Ending Sacrifice. The examination of Cardassian culture and values is fascinating, the main character is complex and sympathetic, and the idea of viewing the events DS9 from a Cardassian vantage point is genius and carried out brilliantly. However, I've not read A Stitch in Time yet. Judging from what other posters here say about it, I suspect it will give Sacrifice a run for its money whenever I get around to reading it!
That's a good list. I would add the Cardassian half of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine: Worlds of Deep Space Nine Volume 1: Cardassia and Andor.
I've got to give it to either ASiT or NES. The Terok Nor trilogy has some great stuff too (perhaps especially the first book), but that's a trilogy.
I would vote for either The Never-Ending Sacrifice or The Crimson Shadow, both by Una McCormack. Her take on Cardassia is my favorite.
Speaking of Una's titles, does Brinkmanship fall within a Cardassian based novel/have Cardassians within it as some of the main Characters ?
Also, referring to the Terok Nor Trilogy--Are the final two titles in the series Night of the Wolves & Dawn of the Eagles--on the same level of Swallow's first title of the trilogy ? Basically, are they worth the read ?
That's two questions. 1) Some people think they're not quite on the same level. 2) I think most people think they're very worth the read, even if point 1 applies.

The Terok Nor novels. I like book two and three more than Day of the Vipers. And of course The Never-Ending Sacrifice.
If you don't feel like reading a trilogy, the first book is actually fairly independent of the second and third, so if you wanted you could read it as a standalone. They're worth reading if you are interested in the DS9 characters' backstories, but I didn't they were anywhere near as good as the first one. They were OK, not great but readable.
