B'Ellana's hair line

Long is good too. It's when you have a fringe (bangs) and then you go.. oops. Or when you don't leave the bleach on long enough and it has that lovely brassy tone to it.

I tried bleaching my hair once. It was an interesting experience. My hair is almost black naturally.

I hope I don't get a slap on the wrist for going off topic so I'll make this my last.. first time you bleach almost black hair it needs a long processing time. It goes kind of coppery, then brassy, then scary orange, then yellow orange. It won't probably go straight yellow, that is for a hairdresser to risk. Once it gets to yellow orange, hopefully more yellow than orange, it can be toned. Thank God. Then a medium ash blonde look can be achieved, which sits nicely with black hair. Both cool tones.

Mind you black hair is beautiful but coloring hair is fun.

I don't think I'll be bleaching any time soon if ever. I straighten my hair and i think that's enough chemicals ;)

The way Klingon makeup changed over the years, B'Elanna (and Keh'lehyr, or however you spell it) would have fit in as a full Klingon in the TOS movie era.

I was looking at the Kazon in a recent episode and they looked like they had horse poo in their hair.

What I've noticed for humanoid aliens is that they often have a defining feature marking a center line down their faces. Protrusion, bumps, ridges etc. The creators liked symmetry.

There's some other weird haired aliens in early Voyager besides the Kazon:

The Anarans in "Remember"
and the Beneans in "Ex Post Facto."

The Anarans have some kind of fish scale thing going on, and the Beneans have what looks like feathers AND hair growing out of their heads.
