CBS/Paramount sues to stop Axanar

Backerkit projects pummeted overnight Now showing that he is only likely to hit around $28k. Still $28k too much but nowhere near even his lowered goal.

But he is making the film. In 60 days. And it will be the best film ever. Right after this fundraiser. In 60 days, right after they finish the soundproofing. You're gonna be so impressed, the quality is amazing. And the electrical. They just have to get the electrical up to code, and that might take another fundraiser. But they're 60 days away, right after that. And hey, I heard that they just signed that guy from that show to be in it, and it's gonna be spectacular. Oh, the toilets need replacing. But then, filming starts in 60 days. For sure this time, and nothing has ever been this awesome in the history of awesomeness. Oh no, the cat's run off. They have to replace the cat, so just one more fundraiser. And the locked script is the best script ever written, but someone spilled Jameson's on it and the printer's out of ink.

But seriously, filming starts in 60 days. :techman:
Well, sign me the f*** up and take all my money! And my first born! Obviously, this is going to be epic! EPIC, I SAY!

You bet! And have you heard about the green screen? It's the biggest green screen ever built! In a warehouse! With no AC! But only 60 days until filming starts!

I was told to come here and say Alec Peters sucks, so

Come for the spectacle, stay for the understanding

It does seem however that most the cars of the wreck have fallen back to the ground by now

Maybe CBS/Paramount could get goaded again, who knows

I notice that the tone of Alec's posts for the last couple of days is very much bracing the faithful for them having to move location. Aside from one post about a great meeting with their landlord (big announcement coming soon).

Transcript of said meeting:
Landlord: "Hi Alec, it's Monday. Rent's due."

Alec Peters: "Yeah, about that I have a VERY successful crowdfunding campaign going, but I won't get the money for another month. Can you wait."

Landlord: "Yeah, I guess. Worked for you before."... [Thinks to himself: "Besides, I doubt I could find another idiot to rent this for the rate I got you to pay for a broken down warehouse. Boy was I lucky you ignored the advice of your Director/Friend..."]... "That said, remember, I have no use for a partially converted film studio space; you're going to be out by December and have all this crap gone; and my back wall repainted White, instead of the awful Puke-Green color you painted it, right?"

Alec Peters: "Yeah, sure"...[Thinks to Himself: "Yeah, right...what are you going to do? Sue me? I'm a lawyer by training, and I BEAT CBS AND Paramount...yes, I WON!...I WON...I WON...(just have to keep telling myself that...man, I miss mommy waking me up to watch Star Trek...)..."]

Since there is 100% studio occupancy in SCV, it's likely he can sublease, or break his lease if the landlord has another tenant ready to go. But it's not going to be cheap to break everything down and get it "broom ready" for another tenant. Plus, where is he going to store Propworx's stuff AND the sets? That's two grand a month at least for storage.

Hold on. I'll copy/paste.

Before donating remember a few things. 1. The studio isn’t needed to make Axanar. 2. they are pretty much already planning to move at the end of the lease if not sooner so you are only helping keep it open a few months at best.

Here’s a stage! In Georgia, can you use that? Modify it for your needs? Might be the cheapest way to go? https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Trek_Continues

nuGarth of Izar had been seemingly force-refunded (I think @jespah called it) awhile back because he-or-she was removed as a donor, therefore lost the ability to comment. Shane Vansen has so far survived being force-refunded so can still comment. nuGarth of Izar has just donated again, and commented the above.

It is my hope that they continue to not engage with those replying negatively to their comments to let any and all such negative replies stand alone in their negativity to hopefully be seen by possible donors.

I want to apologize to everyone here. I am the person who came up with and instigated everyone who’s been paying $1 and leaving harassing comments. I was literally in the middle of telling people to keep on the attack when I thought, why am I doing this? I have a beautiful wife and children, why have I been acting like such loser doing the crap I’ve been doing against Axanar and Alec Peters this last year? Right then, I made the decision to stop being an asshat. I hope you all can forgive me!

I have to say I was completely wrong about you, Alec Peters. I have been such an asshole for the past year, and I apologize for myself and all haters who continue to bother you and mess with your great campaign. They are assholes too.

Yeah I've been a jerk to everyone over the last few months but this is as much as I can give right now
($1)

Which was later changed to:
Glad to contribute to the studio just as I did when it was first announced. I’m still upset at CBS & Paramount for the rash actions they took in the lawsuit (which was not caused by the studio or the fundraising as a few ‘agenda-driven individuals’ want their minions to believe) but I proudly stand with Industry and can’t wait to see Axanar (even if we are limited to the ‘guidelines’).
Keep up the great work!

However, though the last version of navystore's comment remains, navystore as a backer has been removed from the Backers list.

Yeah some of the pro-axanar people like britto are doing more harm to peters then help so best not to engage them and let them show themselves to be idiots all by themselves

nuGarth of Izar just disappeared from the Backers list and his-or-her comment has been deleted.

Shane Vansen's last comment (quoted above) has also been deleted but remains on the Backers list.

Ugh...this whole affair has gone well beyond tiresome...
