And that would have worked if they had a decent script and a far better costumer designer.Making a Black Cat movie without Spider-Man is like making a Catwoman movie without Batman. Who would think that could work....
...Oh.
As long as you can still count them on one hand with fingers left over, it's not "getting there." It's just the barest beginning.
There doesn't need to be a hook as long as it's a good movie in its own right. The Guardians of the Galaxy were extremely obscure up until 2014. And of course lots of successful movies aren't based on anything pre-existing at all.
No, the Marvel Database says her hair is dyed platinum blond.
Ultimate Spider-Man is an alternate universe from the main one.
Apparently now, along with the non-MCU Venom movie, Sony is working on a non-MCU Spider-Man universe spinoff focused on Black Cat and Silver Sable.
My reaction to this, is pretty much the same as my reaction to the Venom movie.
Wasn't the tower trashed in Age of Ultron, with the Avengers moving to the other facility Stark had (as seen in Ant-Man and Civil War)? Wonder what the story is behind Avengers Tower being up and running again.
I would assume Sony has the rights to her, since they have the rights to all of the Spider-Man stuff. Remember, Sony technically still has the rights to Spider-Man, not Marvel. They just decided to work with Marvel rather than actually giving them back the rights. Now this just makes me wonder: Do they not have the rights to Spider-Gwen? Seriously, even without casting Emma stone as Gwen the comic character is more popular and would fit a spin off better then Black Cat or Silver Sable, and she's also specifically from a different universe (in the comics) from the mainstream Peter Parker. It seems like a very obvious choice if you want a non-MCU Spider-Man spinoff. I don't even like the comic character, but she seems like a natural fit for a spinoff movie.

The one I'm more curious about is Jessica Drew/Spider-Woman, since she is technically a "Spider" character, but isn't necessarily a Spider-Man character like Black Cat, or Venom. I know this has come up before, but I can't remember if anybody gave definite answer.
Marvel.com has posted a new Hot Toys figure of Homecoming Spider-Man in his homemade costume. I'm not sure, but I think this might be the first we've seen this costume, or at least it's the first time I have. I wonder why they have the face blurred out?
I've seen all of that stuff as it's come out, so I guess I must have just forgotten about it then. It's been seen in some promotional stills and it's in the trailer that came out a while back (the shot of Spidey getting flung into the school bus is with him wearing the homemade suit).
