Physically stronger, Borg or Vulcan?

Refuge

Vice Admiral
Admiral
I notice Seven and Tuvok were a couple of times tested for strength. In 'Hunters' which was creepy, I hate the Hirogens.. but it looked like Tuvok had the edge in strength, well, he was going to be tortured first. Then when Seven had to fight to help keep an injured Tuvok alive in 'Tsunkatse' Seven was supposed to be some kind of superior strength. Cannot remember I think I recall a scene in some other episode when Seven literally brushed Tuvok aside. What makes the Borg so strong anyway?

Yeah I guess it must be that. And the nanoprobes have to be a 'leveller' as well. I mean Vulcans can be assimilated and that Klingon was assimilated but they don't seem to have the edge over a human girl also assimilated.

Seven even with her nanoprobes removed seemed to have enhanced physical strength. Tuvok being Vulcan and a trained martial artist would be very strong as well.

I imagine Borg drones' strength are "averaged" out so to speak. A Klingon drone is not stronger than a human drone.

I would think that a Klingon drone would be much stronger than a human drone since they are stronger in their "natural" state. An assimilated Klingon would not have lost muscle

I would think their strength would rely more on their Borg implants than their biological attributes. One of the reasons for putting the implants there in the first place.

My guess is that the implants enhance what was already there. So if one is stronger to begin with then they would be stronger after assimilation. Just my own theory

I think it would make sense to have specializations based on the species. Seven mentioned that Talaxians (i think) had dense musculature which made them good tactical drones

I'd say the Borg make a calculation achieving perfection versus needed manpower(drone power?). In most circumstances species like the Kazon would be beneath their notice, if they need the manpower they'd assimilate whatever poor chaps they can get.

I can imagine in say a Species 8472 War they might consider assimilating primitives if for no other reason than to have drones to throw at the enemy.

Well, I did say to equalize them as much as is possible, so I acknowledge that 100% equalization might not be possible, thus predisposing certain races more to certain functions. I always wondered how the Borg would have used Species 8472, as they were not bipedal humanoids and accommodations would have been necessary to be able to adequately utilize them as drones. They'd have needed more space, specialized alcoves, and so on. Perhaps they'd have put all 8472 drones on their own specially designed cubes, as they'd not fit well with bipedal humanoid drones.

Or perhaps they would just use aspects of their technology and not the actual bodies

Yeah, a Vulcan nerve pinch does little when you've already got hole in your chest from a disruptor (and I doubt those were just Lore's upgrades, they were tactical drones of some sort).
