Trappist-1

Laura Cynthia Chambers

Vice Admiral
Admiral
So is it inevitable that this system will be mentioned in future Trek? As whether it's inhabited or not won't be known for sometime, I could see it being mentioned as the site of a Human colony or other Federation installation.

It might be mentioned in a passing line of dialogue somewhere simply as a location, but I doubt it'd be any more specific than that.

"According to the report, they were intercepted near the Trappist System."

(or something like that)

Honestly, I think they'll avoid mentioning the system specifically. Simply because, what if a year from now, they find they were wrong about Trappist-1? What I could see, however, is visiting a different system, that is similar to the idea behind T-1, as a subtle nod to the recent discovery.

That's about what I would expect for any Near Earth planets until we find a way to confirm them as genuinely Earth-like.
