Trek's lowest moment

Here are some low points off the top of my head.

1. "And The Children Shall Lead"
2. "The Way to Eden"
3. Star Trek III: The Search For Spock.
4. Star Trek: TNG "The Host". I thought "The Host" was when TNG was getting too soppy and soapy. TNG was moving away from pure adventure and towards PBS Masterpiece Theater beginning with "Family".
5. Star Trek: DS9 "The Valiant". One of the worst acted episodes ever.
6. Star Trek: DS9 "The Emperor's New Cloak" . Tasteless and indulgent.
7. Star Trek: Voyager
9. Scott Bakula.
10. J.J. Abrams.
:nyah:

Okay on #7 we fiercely disagree.

It was a pun on the phrase, given who we were talking about.

I get it now. :techman:
...I'm not...very smart

Yeah, Geez. I waa going to thumbs up until I scrolled down to #7. We went from writing off a whole season of a series to now, a whole series. And number 7 seems at odds with number 4. I feel the good in you....the conflict.

#9 I'm personally a fan of the Scattula, but I know not everyone is.

Voyager. It's just one of shows I gave up on and lost all interest in. I know I'm no authority on it but it just seemed fitting on a thread devoted to Star Trek lowpoints to write off the entire show. I never liked Janeway or most of the other characters and the show just seemed liked 2nd rate TNG to me. DS9 atleast was something different. If some Voyager fans have some episode recommendations for me I'm open to revisiting the series.

Worst moment in Star Trek history..... Star Trek the Motion Picture. Honestly, I'm so surprised the franchise continued to live after that one.

It was the fifth most successful film of the year and made back more than twice its budget. And, whatever else there is to say about its quality, it's a visual masterpiece that holds up today.

A second film was a given.

I think this movie has aged well but I saw this in the theatre as a young kid and was bored & confused I think. I believe the movie was inspired by Kubrick's 2001 and they decided to make a cerebral sci-fi flick.

I LOVE The Motion Picture. I absolutely love it.

However I prefer the original long cut and not the remastered version. I like the little oddities like Kirk floating out the airlock and you can see the stage, bit on the side of the screen. It's fun.

I think that version actually feels the shortest. I enjoyed watching Sulu fumble over Illia and Kirk putting on his thruster suit.
