News Jason Isaacs Joins Star Trek: Discovery as Captain Lorca

How does that make them Samurai?
The samurai were a semi-noble class of a very advanced society. The samurai were much more civilized than the Vikings did not fight to plunder to sweep everything in their path, they were fighting for a sense of loyalty to the daimyo, shogun, emperor. Their customs and education were more advanced

The Andorians are a warrior / militarist culture. But they are not savages who fight for their clans, individual glory and fortune, as the Klingons do. They fight for andor and the federation in a great feeling of loyalty and honor.

Samurai is just one group in the society of Medieval Japan. The entire country isn't made up of Samurai. They were just as capable of treachery and disloyalty as any other person.

Viking goals were varied. It wasn't all plunder and burn. Some were just looking for land to farm. A place to settle down and raise a family. Some like the Normans assimilated into the areas they settled. I'm sure many were just as loyal to their families, clans and leaders as the Samurai.

The Samurai were a much greater influence on the development of the TNG Klingons than they were on the Andorians, who's development was limited to ENT.

They do? What is any of that based on?

I repeat I see the wilder Klingons and their desire to enter Sto-vo-kor is very similar to Valhalla. The Klingons fight mainly for their personal interests or those of their clan.
The Andorians understand the honor in the loyalty and sacrifice for the homeland.
Is a society of warrior traditions that became very militaristic in a moment. Similar to imperial japan

I would like to see how to be part of the federation that affects their society

Examples of this Andorian loyalty? Examples of these warrior traditions?

Klingons have been called Samurai-Viking-Bikers for a reason.

I love this comic

[HOTLINKED IMAGE REMOVED BY MOD]

"Every Andorian should feel honored to behave the uniform of the fleet since the Andorians helped to found the federation"

Sacrifice your own life for the andor and the federation not for personal ambition! That reminds me of the samurai

So not from anything mentioned on any of the series?
Get back to me when you've watched the Andorian episodes of Enterprise.
Is a star trek comic that explores a race, that's what those comics were about.

A comic that made me love one more to the Andorians

That's nice. I hope ice powers weren't involved. ;)
It's unlikely anything from the comic will make it into DSC.

This sentence is the one I most liked

What exactly says "Samurai" about that? Human, Tellerites and Vulcans can make the same claim.

Who's general thoughts and what were those thoughts based on?
Good picks up several ideas that appear in the novels about the Andorians society. As they have 4 sexes, but in reality implies that they have 4 cultural genres more than sexes. Since there are only males and females, the marriage consists of 4 people 2 males and 2 females. The Andorians first look for a couple and then that couple seeks another couple to form a marriage.
But the most important thing is the sense of honor and the warrior. Like that an Andorian can not reject a duel and because an Andorian fight is always for the good of andor

Not for that reason the Andorian protagonist fights a lost fight to protect Andor and the federation even when everything is against him, he fights in an intelligent way and he dies fighting sacrifices for the good of his world claiming that his actions of self sacrifice and fight With honor for the good of Andor is the way of the Andorians
he Does not fight waiting to enter, for this glorious battle, to a mystical place that only a worthy warrior can enter, does not fight for the fortune or personal glory, since what it does is a secret mission and no one knows what he did to protect the federation and andor , Not fight for wealth or power, fight for a sense of honor and loyalty, for the sake of andor
