I'm still pinning my hope for regaining my faith in Star Trek literature on the Discovery tie-in and the eventual translation of Prometheus.

The Picard biography just isn't cutting it for me as a concept that I feel drawn to purchase, something that I've felt for a few years.

Based on that blurb, I really get the feeling we're going to get the same level of on-screen bias that we got from "First 150 years". It sounds like it's really going to be show-focused, way more attention on the stuff we've already seen than the stuff we haven't. I'm really hoping I'm wrong on that and it's purely promotional copy; since it's just a blurb, I probably should just take it that way.

There's no page for this on the US Amazon, which seems a bit odd.
This sounds great to me though. I really enjoyed Goodman's Kirk "autobiography", and I look forward to seeing what he does with Picard.
When he started hinting he was working on another autobiography over in the Kirk autobiography thread I was hoping it would be Spock, but Picard is good too.
I wonder if this does well enough if we might get ones for Sisko, Janeway, and Archer too?

Keep in mind the blurb is trying to hook the casual fan, so they're going to make it as generalized and show-centric as they can. I'm sure the actual book itself will provide plenty of insight on Picard's childhood, Academy years, pre-command career and his time on the Stargazer.
Somehow, I find it more likely if there is another of these autobiographies it'll be about Spock. Then again, I thought we'd get Spock before Picard, so what do I know?

I'd love a Janeway one but I figure anymore Captains would be pretty unlikely.

Yeah, you're probably right. The only reason I'm wary is because I was sure "Federation: the First 150 Years" would have provided plenty of insight on things other than Enterprise and TOS. :p

By the way and for whatever it is worth: the book has now vanished from S&S' website.

Hopefully their just removing it to replace it with a page that's more accurate to the final product.

I wonder if Pocket books will post Original Sin on their website again at a later date. Good to know Amazon has posted Promethueus book 1 on their website I really would like to get this series of books.

It's back, but same as before.

But now the link with the Robinson title doesn't come up anymore when you google the ISBN.
