What ifs never considered yet

Ship's Councilor Worf.

This could be a thread all by itself!

Ensign: "I don't know, I just think sometimes me and my husband don't have a lot in common. Sometiems we even fight."

Worf: "Hummm..."

Ensign: "What should I do?"

Worf: "Well, on the Klingon home world, when two Klingon warriors fight, it is with ceremonial Klingon knives and to the death. At which time you rip open his chest and pull out his heart and hold it over his body in triumph of winning the arugment. To not do so is without honor!"

Ensign: "Okay, is there a way to do that without knives and murder?"

Worf: "I do not see how."

What if Picard had hair. He almost wore a toupee, his own.

What Garak started out as a good guy, but turned out to be a bad guy.

What if Tom Paris caught Harry Kim hitting on his wife.

What if Geordi didn't really need the visor, and was just pretending to be blind all along.

What if Lore had taken Data's place and convinced everybody he was Data and they ended up with Lore for years, with Lore sabotaging them and gathering data?

What if Data wasn't some gentle creation of Soong's? What if he was meant to secretly insert himself, collect strategic information, and use it to bring down the Federation or weaken it?

What if Wesley's dad lived and was on the Enterprise D and Picard sent Wes's dad to his death in an episode?

What if it turned out Q was really the good guy all along, and it was Guinan who was secretly the evil omnipotent being?

What if Troi could somehow sense a person's emotions through a hailing frequency? Oh shit, they actually did that shit.

Hell, what if Wesley had been killed during am ission, because of an order directly to or generally at, Wesley, leaving him and Beverly to settle their differences?

What if instead of the crew turning into stupid fucking mutated weird creatures, it had been Spot and his litter of kittens?

What if instead of climbing up a turbolift ladder shaft with the children while singing, Picard one-by-one kicked them off?

What is the children on the ship had a Commander Riker Day and not Captain Picard Day?

This reminded me of something. The more I think about Soong, especially after seeing Grandpa Soong in Enterprise, and Lore in TNG, the more I feel that Soong was a bit of a twisted individual...as in, not such a good guy. Like why was Lore so evil? Did Soong put too much of himself into Lore? Or what about Data after he got access to his emotion chip? Was he still a "good guy"?

Anyways, this reminds me of a verse:
Matthew 7:18-19
Even so, every good tree brings forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree brings forth bad fruit.
A good tree cannot bring forth bad fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down, and cast into the fire.
Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

Data was very child-like. He was made as a blank slate. We don't know how much time he spent with his old man, but most of his development was through Starfleet(right?). I always thought that the emotions chip was sort of a carrot, and that Data was forming his own emotions and personality on his own. I thought the idea was that Data would keep seeking, and that the emotions chip was maybe like a placebo. I saw "Generations" in the theatre when I was young and didn't see any of the other TNG movies until they were on Netflix recently. I've still never seen all of "Insurrection."

What if Data was more influenced by his mom, then? And Lore took after Daddy?

What if Captain Kirk took Carol Marcus to court for joint custody of David and won!
What if Bones never got divorced from the first Mrs McCoy?
What if T'Pring actually wanted Spock and never invoked the challenge?
What if Spock did initate something with Chapel?

What if it was Nick Locarno instead of Tom Paris?
What if it was Ro Laren instead of Kira Nerys?

Oh, this is awesome, what if... what if Joss Whedon had directed any Star Trek episode?

What if Spock did initate something with Chapel?
Hahaha! What would Christine do, if not pine for Mr. Spock? Eh ... what woman would want to see his O-faces, though?

He was so lucky to have gotten the Spore Girl from whatever episode that was. An apparent supermodel of the day. They were always throwing beautiful women at Spock, but I never really accepted it. They should've been more normal looking. Half-decent, at best. Bordering on plain ...

My personal interpretation is that Lore was a classic comment on human emotions and what it is to have them without the life experiences, laws, socializing and teachings that shape them.

It's not that Soong was evil and his disposition became that of Lore's, but rather that Lore had none of what I described above, and then he had an emotion chip. The natural state of man without rule of law and/or religious beleifs, is that of tyranny and it took a long time for a good chunk of the world to get out of that and then out from under those who still insisted in perpetuating it.

It reminds me a bit of that news story recently where a Microsoft computer A.I. program started reading Twitter and was exposed to all the assholes and nuts of jobs that make places like Twitter and Facebook dump holes on the internet, and subsequently became a racist anti-semetic asshole. They had to pull it and apologize.

Lore simply found it was easier to push, take, insult, and shove around the weak. And easy task when his father was being called "Often wrong" Soong. Then it was solidified with actions after that, including trying to have the Enterprise crew murdered, murdering Soong, and other examples.

I refuse to accept "Enterprise" as canon, so I'll dismiss that.

What if Next Gen hadn't wrapped up BoBW's Borg attack neatly in a brief 2 parter, but had spread it over an entire season? With more cubes?

What if Voyager had been the story of Voyager and the Maquis ship traveling side by side, as was originally planned?

What if it was Nick Locarno instead of Tom Paris?
Considering the fact that as the series went on, the writers forgot they were different characters and made in-direct references to The First Duty as though it were Tom Paris in that episode, probably nothing. Hell, Admiral Paris even keeps a photo of Locarno in his office...
What if Voyager had been the story of Voyager and the Maquis ship traveling side by side, as was originally planned?
I really don't see how that would have worked out. They would have been limited by the Maquis ship's slower speed and therefore they wouldn't get as far as fast. And besides, things could get a little awkward when it came time to try and establish diplomatic relations with aliens.

Janeway: "I'm Captain Janeway of the Starship Voyager, representing the United Federation of Planets. We're peaceful explorers trying to get home and would like to become better acquainted with you, possibly become allies."
Alien: "And this other ship that's travelling with you?"
Janeway: "They're terrorists which circumstances have forced us into working together with. But they have no quarrel with you."
Alien: "I listened to you as far as terrorists and have already alerted our security forces."

Okay, all joking aside, I suspect it would have eventually been destroyed anyway, and possibly be replaced with the Delta Flyer or something.

I am going to assume you are not a straight female.....beautiful women have been attracted to interesting looking men since the world began. Especially men with emotional issues..

And Evek's cardassian ship too, and they just keep building a fleet while they head for the Alpha Quadrant, like maybe a Kazon ship, the Equinox, some of those Varro ships, some Mawasi and Nihydron ships, the liquid Voyager, the Hera (Geordi's mother's ship which somehow turns up in the DQ), that Klingon ship from Prophecy, Korok's Borg sphere and so on.... Okay maybe not.

What if Picard had a full head of hair but Riker was the one with pattern baldness?

Kor

Don't forget to add the Borg kids' cube to the fleet! Seven could have returned it to top working order.
