Scruffy-looking untitled Han Solo film thread

Yeah, I've been assuming the whole reason Lando is in this is because we're going to see Han winning the Falcon from him. I'm curious if this is going to be kind of a big backstory/origin story biography type of thing covering his whole life up to the beginning of A New Hope, or if it's going to just be a single story that is set at one point before ANH.

I'll be surprised if the whole story is about getting the Falcon, though I'm sure that'll be in there somewhere. Given the cost savings involved in simply reusing the sets they already built for TFA, I'd say there's a slightly better chance that it'll happen fairly early on. Who knows, maybe that's how Han & Lando first meet: across the sabbac table?

Not sure about the timing, but it seems Lando already lost the Falcon by the time he shows up in SWR, which is roughly 4 or 5 years before. That said, Alden Ehrenreich is in his mid-to-late 20's so if he's playing Han at around the same age that would place it right around that time. Who knows, maybe the movie happens right before Lando goes to Lothal? Another possibility is that we'll see the Battle of Taanab?

Word is that the Lando role is significant enough that the next season of Glover's TV show is being put off til 2018.

Looking forward to this one. I can't shake the feeling that it hinges so much on the portrayal and performance of Solo though. Like previous posters have mentioned, there's some possibilities for some great scenes that can be fleshed out any way they like.

Donald Glover and Billy Dee spotted having lunch together this week in LA...........

May 25? What is so special about that date? I thought Star Wars movies were supposed to come out in December! I thought the relevant date in May was May 4 so we can all pretend we have a speech impediment or some shit!

The plan was originally for Rogue One to be a summer release, before they discovered that was going to be impossible with all the alterations they wanted to make, so this is more of a return to the original plan than a deviation from it.

Indeed, it was meant to come out on the 40th anniversary of ANH

December 2018 is supposed to see the release of the Avatar sequel. I guess someone realized it wasn't a good idea to have two sci-fi titans go against each other.
