Yup. Ditto the previous Cadet Blacks worn by Wes, Locarno, Sito et al. Probably my favourite part of those unis.

I love the "Monster Maroons" as kind of a service uniform (bridge officers, starbase officers), and is probably my favorite uniform, but I always felt that era needed a more functional variant, like a utility or tactical uniform, for some of the more rigorous jobs and missions. There were those field uniforms we saw in Star Trek V, but even those looked a little heavy and uncomfortable. I'm talking something close to what they wore on Star Trek: Enterprise, actually. Maybe something in between the Star Trek: Enterprise uniforms, and the jumpsuits the enlisted officers in Star Trek 2-6 wore.

Of course, they probably did have something like that, but we just never saw it.

I've revised my list because the ENT uniforms have grown on me even more.

1. TOS season 3, when they switched from velour to the jersey fabric.
2. ENT
3. TMP, specifically Kirk's admiral uniform and Decker's blue uniform.
4. Star Trek Beyond
5. First Contact

1 and 2 are basically tied.

I've been drawing a bunch of Captain/Admiral Kirk sketch cards in all the different uniforms and started having a chat on Twitter about which uniform is best so I thought I'd ask over here too.

To kick off I'm TOS film series red jacket kind of guy!

I like the original TNG uniforms. It's a shame they gave the actors back pain.

Kirk's Admiral Uniform in Star Trek: The Motion Picture is very nice.

The TOS dress uniforms were pleasant to look at.

I really liked 2nd season TNG era's uniforms, but I really liked O'Briens take on the 1st season DS9 uniform with rolled sleeves.

TOS all the way. I actually prefer the appearance of the velour fabric, but the more trim cut of the third-season uniforms. In real life, the velour was problematic, but of course, in universe it would be just fine.

Kirk's Admiral Uniform in Star Trek: The Motion Picture is very nice.

That is a gem from an otherwise underwhelming movie wardrobe. I also loved the homage to these in the JJverse.
