A few of you have asked me to come back and explain my "karma" blurb about JL, so here I am, even though I tried to resist feeling like I'm under a microscope. In my first post, I was trying not to create an annoyingly long story or showboat about how I knew JL from high school. I just thought it would help shed some light on her personality, from someone that personally interacted with her. There were rumors about her drug use, abuse growing up, yada yada yada. I did see her take pills in math class, plus heard rumors that she did coke. I suppose I was letting the reader form their own conclusion on if this led to any further drug use down the road. People say she is shy. I suppose people change as they get older or through their experiences, but if anyone knew her in high school, there is no way anyone would describe her as shy. She was on Choraliers and was in drama; was attending voice lessons; and she was so pretty that she definitely turned heads in the hallways. As for people saying they feel my statements, or part of, were with a "hint of malice"...I was simply trying to convey that she definitely was not in my circle of friends. She was mean. And for those who said karma doesn't exist, try this definition: karma- the sum of a person's actions in this existence, viewed as deciding their fate in future existences. Not that she bullied me personally, but she had that air about her...so naturally people tend to think "karma got them" when things go wrong in their intimidator's life. And just to make clear, I never said "everyone who uses drugs deserves horrible things", nor was I "gloating" about anything. The topic of the forum, I believe, was the status of JL. Maybe I missed the mark on this topic, but all I simply was trying to do was give a small snippet of her background that is not rumor. I also want to make clear that I do not advocate dissing someone with mental illness. I am a disabled veteran with anxiety and PTSD, so why would I "gloat" and wish ill on JL?
Well, to quote Janeway: "I need more than that, Mr. Kim!"
First of all, your statements about Jennifer contradicts what most people have to say about her. Therefore I need more evidence than you are showing up here.
Once upon a time I was posting on another forum where "double indentities" were standard among some of the participants there.
There were a bunch of anti-Kes, anti-Lien persons there, a "gang of four"who I did have a lot of controverses with, controverses which actually turned into personal attacks. Not a nice scene actually.
Anyway, from time to time there were postes showing up, basically coming out of nowhere, pretending to be "old friends" or former colleagues or schoolmates of Lien, writing the most horrible things about her.
The funny thing was that their style of writing revealed them as being the not so smart members of the "Gang Of Four" who were posing under other aliases. When revealed, those "posters" dissapeared, soon to be replaced by new posts from new "posters" written in the same style and the same agenda.
OK, I guess that those people were more after me than after Lien but that makes it even worse.
So how do I know that you're writing the truth here and not making things up? How do I know that you aren't one of my old "friends" from the Gang Of Four from that forum? Or someone with a personal agenda against Jennifer Lien?
I must also state that I do have some doubts about the agenda. I can tell you that a couple of years ago, I was very much involved in the musical business where I live.
Among the persons I encountered then was a guy who for some years became a celebrity (now this was in Europe and this guy isn't a "World Wide Celebrity" so I don't think anyone on this forum have heard about him.
I must state that I had very little to do with this guy, I met him a few times and we used to say "hello" to each other but nothing more so I don't have a grudge against him or so, more the contrary since he always was nice and polite to those I worked with. Personally I was no fan at all of his musc but that's another story.
But this guy was known to be a real a**hole to a lot of people around him. Doing drugs, drinking, fighting with musicians in his back-up band, cheating people, having intimare relations with other musicians wives and girlfriends and even with a record producer's wife and so on.
There has been a lot of comments on local forums and gossip sites about that guy and I could easily jump in and write something not so nice about this guy from what I've heard and what I know about him.
But why should I do that? I have nothing against him personally and since he's "on the way out" from the musical scene , I actually feel sorry for the wasted talent.
And even if I strongly disliked that guy, I wouldn't go out and trash him because there are so many doing that already and I don't kick anyone who's down.
That's why I feel a bit sceptic to your comments about Jennifer Lien when it comes to the truth and the purpose of writing them.
OK, I may be wrong. What you are writing could be 100% truth. But it could also be something written by someone with a personal grudge. Therefore I want more evidence before I start believing in such stories.
As for "karma", it doesn't exist. Mass murderers like Josef Stalin, Mao Zedong, Kim Il Sung, Pol Pot and Matyas Rákosi lived long healthy lives and died as mighty men (not Pol Pot and Rákosi but none of them were actually punished for their crimes).
The worst bastards always get away.
