This week's contest is all about figures from the American Revolution, real or fictional. Any of the "Founding Fathers" or important people from the time around the American War of Independence. It can be from a play, book, TV series, or movie. I'll even accept science fiction and fantasy, so yes, you can use Sleepy Hollow. ;) Fictional characters are OK, too, so a show like Turn or a film like The Patriot is fine.

Some other possible ideas: the John Adams miniseries, Jefferson in Paris, 1776, The Crossing, Sons of Liberty, April Morning or The Devil's Disciple.

Standard av rules apply (200 x 200 max, 1 KB max). I'll put the poll up on Thursday.

This reason I had this idea is because I can't stop listening to the Hamilton original cast recording. Of course, I had to make that my entry.

I'm quickly realizing that I'm not sure that I've ever watched anything set during that timeframe. Everything I've thought of so far, I've had to dismiss because it was actually from the American Civil War! :lol:

ETA: OK, I did think of one thing from that timeframe... does this count? :lol:

^ The Patriot? Sleepy Hollow? 1776? The Seekers? The Bastard (no, it's not about Trump; it's a God-awful mini-series with Andrew Stevens) or the George Washington mini-series with Barry Bostwick?
Disney's Johnny Tremain? There's even Ben and Me, a classic Disney short about a mouse befriending Benjamin Franklin. Or the Disney series, The Swamp Fox.

@Avro Arrow , I'll take it. :lol:

Sorry, didn't see your reply before editing. I actually don't recall seeing any of those, nor anything mentioned in the OP, either. Honestly, most of them I've never even heard of, except Sleepy Hollow, and I think The Patriot is a Mel Gibson movie?

No worries, though, if Schoolhouse Rock doesn't qualify, I'll just pick one of them at random and Google an image.

^ Sorry, I must have missed that the first time too. I really need to learn to refresh the page before posting! :lol:
