I have an in-progress fanfic where Kirk is recovering in a starbase hospital after "Journey to Babel", and an old friend visits him and asks what happened to get him injured. Kirk starts to explain the fight with the Orion spy. The friend says "Oh, you didn't use that stupid flying body slam that Gary Mitchell tought you, did you? Don't you know he was messing with you?"
