Duty of Care

Thank you both, for watching and for taking the time to share your thoughts. Glad you enjoyed it.

And yes, we absolutely intend to keep going. We 're shooting this weekend in fact. :)

Interesting that a Klingon in de 24th century would choose the look like the Klingons from the TOS, ENT Affliction/Divergence era.

Good luck with your weekend shoot.

Another great effort, Nick. Simple premise, great story and acting. Thumbs up all around.:cool::cool::cool:

Good luck with the next shoot, and as a fellow Scot, wrap up warm! And I have to ask, where the hell did you film that sunny day!?:wtf::techman:

Thanks Garak, glad you enjoyed it. As regards the Klingon issue, Goran isn't so much a 24th Century Klingon choosing to be a TOS Klingon, so much as he's the descendent of TOS Klingons who chose not to take the "cure". There were two reasons I wanted to explore such an idea. Firstly, I never quite liked this idea that all Klingons so affected would choose, after several generations of existing as they did, would so quickly embrace this idea of becoming something else. And secondly, I thought there was a chance for a little social commentary in that.

Thanks Mark, appreciate the good thoughts. We're filming indoors for once so thankfully no need to wrap up warm (for once).

Good to hear, Nick. And another thought, as said earlier, nice score as always. While liking a lot of the original Trek scores, nice to see you commissioning new music for Intrepid.

Thanks. Yeah we've been lucky to have some great people offering their musical talents. Jared did a great job on this one.

Definitely. The whole team should be proud of the work you're doing. It's been a pleasure to watch your progress from your first episode. Good characters and great banter as they say amongst your stories (eg between Shelby and Hunter, and especially between Hunter and Dr. Garren in your previous episode). Keep up the great work.

Slightly off topic but we had out first shoot of the year this past weekend and it went remarkably well. Posted a few pics on our Facebook page if anyone cares to take a look.

In a few weeks I will cease working shifts for the first time in thirteen years, so I'm optimistic we'll be able to shoot more frequently and regularly than we have been. I have a couple of longer scripts undergoing revisions at the moment that I hope to produce this year, so watch this space. :)

Sorry for the thread necromancy, but I just had to laugh at this, prime example of how real life doesn’t work out the way you think. Apparently not working shifts means I have less free time. Who knew?

Regardless, I think I’m finally (slowly) getting back in the groove. Expect to see more of Lieutenant Goran in our next films A Treasure for the Ages, which will be shooting later this year.

Also, if anyone hasn’t actually watched Duty of Care yet; shameless plug. :)
