Starship Intrepid Films are pleased to present Duty of Care, our newest short film. We hope some of you may enjoy it.
Liked it very much. As to the ending: Spoiler You'd think they would have at least beamed up the body of the deceased to the morgue; or buried her on the planet - and not just left the corpse behind in a foil blanket.
Thanks Noname Given, glad you enjoyed it. To answer your question, artistic license. But I think you can assume a retrieval shortly thereafter.
I enjoyed this quite a bit - though I will admit a lot of personal bias as I only noticed it due to a mate being in it. Bit of a surprise there! Aside from now having to scold him for not telling me, I'm gonna have to start subscribing to these.
Thanks for watching, James, glad you enjoyed it. We do plan to have Nathan reprise his role, so I think you'll be seeing him again.
I hope so - I've already promised him (well, all of you!) the fan film spotlight in our next club mag
Thanks that's very kind of you. Nathan isn't in our previous work, but if you're at all interested I'd recommend checking out our previous episode. I think it's a pretty fun piece.
Cheers for that! Though - I have seen it, and enjoyed it and even make sure I mention Intrepid (at least, I think I have the Autumn & Winter issues!). I used to live in Dundee, gotta support the home team
Very nice, I thought the Shuttle crash was pretty spectacular actually and some beautiful landscape shots too.
Thanks Solarbaby, glad you enjoyed it. Yes the music was all original. There are little hints of Dylan Feeney's original title for Intrepid, but Jared Cowing composed and performed the entire score. He composed the music for Nemo Me Impune Lacessit, and I think he has a talent for producing scores that feel like they could have been used on the actual series, but weren't. I love his work. We've been really lucky with the people who have created music for us. Dylan Feeney, David Beukes, Bodo Hartwig, and Jared have all produced some great music. It's something that isn't always appreciated, but the contributions they've all made to our various films has been incalculable.
You Sir have done it again. Great work, by all!!!!!!!!! All fan film makers should watch this to see how well a story can be told with just a few propes and good acting.
