If you could pick one ep for TNG-style HD remastering...

Which would you choose, and why? Two-parters may be chosen, but otherwise, just one - and not as a trial or anything, just one Voyager ep in HD, forever.

Myself, I might have to go with "Death Wish", because even with TNG remastered, don't we all need more de Lancie and Frakes in HD? If I were to go with a two-parter, though, I might opt for "The Killing Game", even if "Caretaker" seems like the logical choice from a historical perspective.

"But what about 'Pathfinder', Barclay's finest hour?!" you might ask. And I hear you, I really do. Or maybe "Life Line"? Another good Barclay outing, and you double your Picardo pleasure. But then there's that guy in the audience silently holding up a homemade "I ♥ 'Worst Case Scenario'" sign, and we can't really tell him he's wrong, can we?

Remember, you only get to pick one.

"Body and Soul"? That could be justified from an eye candy perspective, I suppose. "Critical Care"? Er... to be diplomatic... I guess everyone's got something that's entirely unique to them. "Nightingale"? Come now, friend, there's no need to be caustic. We're all having fun here; lighten up. "Learning Curve"?! Now, that guy's just trolling us. Mr. Vulcan, please escort him out of the subforum, pronto.

Someone on Twitter just tweeted a still from "Tinker, Tenor, Doctor, Spy". Glad we're back on track, more or less. Actually, I shouldn't be sniffy; that's a great pick.

Anyone?

I think something that was heavy in special effects would benefit the most from it. Something like Scoripon with 8472 would be great

I wish I knew what you guys were talking about.
Like I said elsewhere, Star Trek has never been available in Hungary. It has never been released on DVD or even on VHS ... nothing. All I have is pirated copies downloaded from I don't even know where.
So what does TNG style HD remastering mean? Better picture and sound quality? Brighter colours? More special effects?
If so, I would love to see the whole show remastered. You can't imagine how easier that would make the making of wallpapers.
I have so many ideas in my head re wallpapers but often I have to discard them because the input material is simply of bad quality. (Does anyone have a good quality shot of Janeway looking out of Voyager's window staring at space? That would be a great help, thanks.)
Having said that MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE seemed to be a particularly spectacular episode ... that would be lovely to see in a better quality.

TNG has been completely remade in high defintion (1080p) and release on blurays.
They made the special effects look better.
It is taken as reference because of the result's great quality.

Living Witness, Endgame, Caretaker, Basics maybe.

Perhaps Distant Origin or Dragon's Teeth.

The Void and maybe a few other episodes I think would benefit.

Visit Trekcore. Lots of good screenshots there.

Hmmmm.... Killing Game because it is action packed and to see the costumes in great detail would be eye pleasing.

ooh or Deadlock. Harry getting sucked out :( double janeway, blasts, vidians and such.

Trekcore is where I get my screenshots from. Unfortunately they are often of poor quality (not the fault of the website, they have there the best quality of what was available, I 'm sure).

Threshold of course. I'd pay CBS to do that as the amount of teeth nashing would be glorious.

In reality, Year of Hell.

My first choice would be Flashback after that Relativity, Unimatrix 0, Caretaker, Workforce, Timeless or Endgame. But Flashback would be my first choice.

Macrocosm.

Because who wouldn't want to see those viruses emerge from those nasty welts and all that mucus in HD?

Seriously though, I think I would go for an action-packed episode with lots of special effects, Scorpion or Endgame, perhaps. (Not that these are necessarily my favourite eps, I simply think that kind of episode would benefit the most from a remastering).

Personally I'd love a HD Blu-ray release of Dark Frontier. I'd love to watch that in a cinema screen just once. But that's just me!

Unforgettable

Chakotay finds True Love AND he finds it with the hottest woman he had in this series. No Janeway fantasies. No Seven surprise hookups. Just Chakotay finally getting what he so richly deserves ... whilst it lasts.

"Future's End" and "Relativity". "Relativity" acts as an Epilogue to FE and we already have the first shot of the episode in HD (check out Ships Of The Line, page 224, 2nd edition).

But "Future's End" has so many exterior shots that would really benefit from an HD rescan.
