Starting the year out Klingon Style...

This is a design I am coming up with as an answer (and I am sure there are many possibilities) for D7's lasting for as long as they have...

I intentionally hinted to a Cylon in it's "head's" forward facing details, as Probert redesiged the D7 into the K'tinga as well as design the original Cylon Centurions, so I integrated some lines

Looks great what year would this design be used in?

There're some beautiful details on this. I particularly like the 'sunburst' plating on the AWACs pod, and the Aztec-inspired aft photon launcher (a bit like @BorgMan 's deflector dish on his December Art Challenge Aztec Enterprise). My favourite, though, has to be the shuttle pod dock which reminds me of a window in a sinister old witch's gingerbread cottage!

Makes me think of an "Enterprise-C" era cruiser. Just like the "C" is sort of halfway between the "A" and "D", this could easily be from the same era, with elements of the D7 and the "Vorcha", but with a personality all it's own. Hope someone decides to render a 3D version of it.
