What Hooked You On TOS?

I was born in the early 80's. I had only seen a couple of episodes here and there. I became a fan of TNG first. What got me interested in TOS was when I first watched Star Trek VI. That movie blew me away and gave me an appreciation for the original cast. I quickly watched the rest of the TOS movies. Eventually I was able to watch TOS from start to end.

Come on, let's be honest now! Which one of us preferred Tamoon? :p

After she is done with Chekov, she is YOUR drill thrall, JB.

I think it was a teaser of the "What are little girls made of?" episode where I first saw Ruk lifting Kirk like a doll and pushing him against the wall. When I saw that sequence, I knew that I would enjoy the show:biggrin:

Actually Tamoon reminds me of this woman I see most days when I take the kids to school in the morning! She can't keep her eyes off of me and one time I even waved at her (I couldn't help myself :rommie:) and she waved back! Sometimes she tries to not look at me on the other side of the road which amuses me! I keep thinking maybe I know her from somewhere or from years ago but so far nuthin! Her resemblance to Tamoon is around the eyes and thick eyebrows!

I saw the premiere episode in 1966 (eleven at the time). I was hooked immediately. By the time "Court Martial" aired, my older sister and I were already geeking out with trying to determine figure out why Spock smiled. I was a bit young to be part of either letter-writing campaign but was sad when the show was cancelled. I was in high school when the reruns took off and saw every episode of TOS at least six times. But I never called myself a Trekkie because I never went to a convention.

As space hippie Adam said in Way To Eden....
