I just had to say it

Okay, for starters, and I'm saying it here because the other related post had been closed for replies: 1) I too have always noticed Geordi's overly-manicured, too-long fingernails. They've always creeped me out. Someone on that thread mentioned how hilarious a user name of "Geordi's Fingernails" would be, so I took their advice. I also considered "Deana's/Troi's Lips" or "Riker's Beard" to name a few. So many choices.
2) Troi's lips on "Eye of the Beholder" totally got my attention. It HAD to have been plastic surgery gone bad, or a bad reaction to lip wax. A Google search of "what's up with Troi's lips 'Eye of . . . '" got me to that string where Geordi's fingernails were hilariously referred to as well, which led me to the above comment.

I was always so disappointed that Picard and Beverly didn't get together, especially after "Attached." I know I'm not the only one who thought, for almost the entire run of the show, that they would be great together.

After powering through TNG via Netflix, one of the things that bugs me is the Troi episode formula. Can she stop falling in love with or just running across bad guys who turn out to be bad guys, often with something to do with her empath powers putting her in jeopardy? Every...single...time. The only one that broke that formula was the one where she was turned into a Romulan.

^Like Worf rarely having episodes that have nothing to do with Klingons, Beverly episodes where she doesn't act like a mom, cures a disease or makes a moral protest/dilemma, or Data episodes without some kind of humanity quest or personal discovery?

I get a kick out of how Phasers look like mini dust-busters. Ha ha!!
QVC (the shopping network) used to have Star Trek merchandise specials. Sometimes they would have one of the stars of TOS or TNG talk with the host. This was prior to the spin-offs. I recall in one they compared the phasers to dustbusters and the real small ones to cordless shavers/razors.

Though I would respect Data and work under him if I were a Starfleet officer, I don't think he's a lifeform. He's marvelous like an original piece of art but recreations like him, The Doctor, and advanced machinery like the Exocomps are just fantastic simulations of lifeforms. I'd even go so far as to say he's better than a human but calling him a lifeform is like acting like your smartphone is alive.

I gotta love the Troi TNG character consistency of:

1) Alien yelling on viewscreen...
Troi says: "I sense great anger..."

2) 1701-D fired upon...
Troi says: "I sense great hostility/hostile intent..."
:guffaw:
