I thought Spock was Spock and Sarek was the ambassador...? How could the original series Spock be the movie series father??

Spock is also an Ambassador in TNG's time. He left Starfleet to join the Federation Diplomatic Corps. He has no children.

He's not and I'm curious as to why you think he is.

I think the OP for some reason thinks Prime Spock is Nuniverse Spock's father. He's not. Both Spocks have Sarek as their father in their respective timelines.

Ok.. thanks... then,... what is the significance or meaning of the picture of spock with the Willian Shatner crew? Who is the movie spock looking at? His father or himself?

Himself from the Prime Universe. His father is Sarek in both realities.
The picture is a nod to the original cast and especially Leonard Nimoy.

ok. thanks. So the movie spock is looking at the William Shatner series spock as himself in the future. So, who is on the cover of the memorial? Is that also a picture of Spock as himself, or of his father? Thanks for helping!!!

Not quite. the "Shatner series Spock" is from a different reality than the "movie series Spock". You'd have to watch Star Trek (2009) to understand how and why.
The picture is of Spock. His father is Sarek and doesn't not appear in Star Trek Beyond.

As Nerys Myk suggests, I'd recommend watching the 2009 movie (simply titled 'Star Trek'), as it explains the nature of the new universe in relation to the original. :) Spock's father Sarek also appears in that movie, as does his mother Amanda. The original Trek version of Spock also crosses over in the movie, but is from a parallel universe to the younger Spock, he's neither the father of him nor is he the future version of this particular Spock. The new movies take place in an alternative timeline to the old ones. Old Spock became an Ambassador in the Next Generation tv show.

Watch a little more, and have fun exploring the Trek universe. :) :techman:

    Short version: it's a complicated time-travel thing.

And the older version of Spock, played by Leonard Nimoy, eventually retired from Starfleet and became an ambassador like his father, Sarek.

And then very late in his life, he crossed over into the past of the alternative universe after falling into a black hole (along with the bad guy from Star Trek (2009)), resulting in him meeting his younger / alternative universe self. He had some personal effects with him when he crossed over, including the (from his perspective) old photo of himself and the Enterprise crew towards the end of their service together (circa the events of Star Trek V anyway). He left these to his younger, alternate universe self upon his demise; the photo, from decades into the future from the perspective of young / alt. Spock, inspired him to continue to serve with his shipmates.

He's seeing an older version of himself and his friends, from another timeline where stuff happened a bit differently.

Kiana, based on your question, it seems fairly obvious that you are somewhat new to Star Trek. Take as much time as you can to really devour all of the series and films. For simplicity sake and clarity, I'd recommend watching them in broadcast order, which would be TOS, then original films 1 - 4. Then start Next Generation. Then the films Generations, FIrst Contact, and Insurrection before getting to Star Trek (2009), Into Darkness, and Beyond.

I purposely left off DS9, Voyager, and Enterprise simply because I don't think they're necessary for following the overall narrative. Also, just watching the stuff I recommended gives you 10 years of TV Trek plus nine movies.
If you want to watch the others, it wouldn't hurt. I enjoyed all of them. Have fun discovering Star Trek.

^ Especially VI eventually, considering how it
sets up the peace treaty between the Federation and the Klingon Empire a century later in TNG,
and also ties into the TNG "Unification" two-parter (w/ Leonard Nimoy). Pretty important stuff. ;)
