Cpt Janeway annoys me

After The Good Captain discovered that even an Omnipotent Being desired her desperately, that was it, boy ... that was it ...!!!! Her already inflated ego expanded geometrically to astronomical proportions. After that, Chakotay didn't have a hope of getting with her ... and yet, he continued holding on to that pipe dream. That fantasy. Being a Chakotay fan, I must say ... that annoys me, somewhat. She's not all that, dude ... choose another.
It annoys you that she is gorgeous?

Well yes she did have a bit of a rough voice, but I honestly wasn't annoyed by it. I think it actually gave her a command presence.
It was probably best that Captain Janeway didn't have a sexy voice. It helps her come across as even more motherly, which she is towards her doubtful crew who need frequent reassuring ...
She was supposed to be concerned about both crews following her, despite the basis for her authority being so far away. I never felt that, though. She came off as having a need to be obeyed as a dictator. She rejected Chakote's respectfully questioning her decisions in private, which was part of his job. I felt no subtly where she had to show Chakote she was willing to work with the Maquis without showing too much weakness.
Mulgrew and Dawson were asked to lower their voices for reasons beyond me.

That sounds painful. Reminds me of what Lani Tupu had to do in "Farscape" in order to get his Captain Crais voice going.

So much fuss is made, it seems like, over how sexy Janeway is and I just don't get it. Looks-wise, she's "OK," but she seems like she's plain vanilla in the bedroom, you know? And that voice of hers is ... I don't know ... it's a little rough. But she's very motherly, of course, which I love about her. She'd even gather the Maquis crew like chicks under her wings. Chakotay was at that age where motherly women were increasingly finding themselves on his radar. Janeway's a beautiful person, though. She has a very warm heart.
I think it is more the way she demands attention. When she is in a room, you can't just look past her, you have to see her, without her appearing manly.
And personally I like her voice a lot.
