So What Are you Reading?: Generations

Just to tease, Christopher Bennett gave me an advance look at his upcoming DTI novellla, which I enjoyed very much.

I finished The Fall series and enjoyed it more than the Typhon Pact. Right now I'm reading Armageddon's Arrow.

I'm re-reading the latter one right now. First time, I kinda rushed through it, and I thought it was ok. I'm giving it more attention this time, and I have to say, it's better sofar than I remember.

Was this just a friendly thing or is there a connection to one of your stories?

Shield of the Gods involves the Aegis (the novelverse/DC Comics interpretation of Gary Seven's employers), so I ran it by Greg and Dayton to make sure our versions were consistent. I'm examining different facets of it than they have, but I wanted to make sure I hadn't screwed up anything about how a Beta-5 or a servo worked.

Cool, I love it when you guys work together on this kind stuff.

I'm re-reading The Dark Side of the Sun, by Terry Pratchett, for the umpteenth time. Brilliant!

I am reading the Gold Key Star Trek comic book series!! I loves these stories!! I am on Issue #9!!

I'm 150 pages into the first Prey book. Long book with short chapters (a definite convenience). Kind of a slow start (and I'm a big ADF fan, so I'm not unfamiliar with slow starts that end up being worth it).

Hmm. Although evidently the colorist on a lot of them somehow missed the staff meeting about Uhura being black, and at least some of the artists missed the one about the size of the Enterprise.

I finished Star Trek: Prey, Book Two: The Jackal's Trick by John Jackson Miller.
I then read "A Christmas Qarol" by Gary Piserchio & Frank Tagader from Star Trek: Strange New Worlds (2016).
I followed that with "Foundlings" by Jeffrey Lang from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine: Prophecy and Change.
After that I read two more stories from SNW '16, "The Sunwalkers" by Kelli Fitzpatrick and "The Seen and Unseen" by Chris Chaplin.
I'm now reading "Chiaroscuro" by Geoffrey Thorne from Prophecy and Change.

So who cares? Gold Key Star Trek comics do not even take place in the same reality as TOS does nor are they canon.
