I don't really care when Zelda comes out, I just know I won't buy the Wii U version in March. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I've had an odd feeling for a long time that the new Zelda game will never be released on the Wii U.

At this point the only thing it would do is piss off a lot of WiiU owners if it was cancelled outright for that system. I'm not too bothered by it, because I'm gonna get a Switch, but way back when I did buy a WiiU with the notion that one day the new Zelda would be on it, lots of others have too.

Yeah, I don't know why people keep thinking it's not coming for the Wii U. Nintendo's entire E3 booth this year was nothing but Wii Us running Zelda.

    Anyways, new game rumours:
    - Eurogamer has sources that say that a 3rd version of Pokemon Sun and Moon, currently named Pokemon Stars, will come to the Switch. But it is not expected until later in 2017.

    - And Let's Play Video Games (previously referred to in this thread many times) has reported that Ubisoft is working on a Rabbids and Mario crossover game under the title "Mario RPG: Invasion of the Rabbids" and it is planned for launch day. http://letsplayvideogames.com/2016/...ds-mario-crossover-rpg-for-switch-launch-day/

And apparently that Mario/Rayman RPG is going to be a tactical RPG similar to X-COM. Yeah, I can't say I saw that coming.

    WHAT.

That is some of the weirdest shit I've ever heard. If they pull that off, I'm there.

So among the other rumors I see popping up, is that while yes, it's true that Zelda won't be a launch title. It sounds like the new 3D Mario game we saw in the Switch trailer could be a launch game after all.

Even though it's a long shot, I'm hoping for it being a pack-in game.

That's bat shit crazy. I love the sounds of that.

However if Zelda is delayed even more, after years and years of it supposedly being released, than Nintendo really should just delay the whole system.

Skyrim seems confirmed for the Switch now.

It makes sense, they did show it in the announcement trailer after all. While I know that wasn't a confirmation, seems a little weird they'd do that and then turn around and say it wasn't coming.

No word on if it's the remastered version or not. Either way, the news of the actual game doesn't phase me, since I already have it. What i'm excited about is that this could mean we'll get more Bethesda games down the line. I'm still going to hold out hope that we might get Fallout 4.

I heard it's the newest version they just redid. That it, Mario, and NEW Splatoon are launch titles.

That's a pretty good line up if true. I never bought Splatoon so that might be a purchase for me. New Mario definitely is though, I find it hard to turn them down.

Also been confirmed that LEGO City: Undercover, a Wii U and 3DS game, will be coming to Switch in Spring 2017. (Along with PS4 and XB1)

Follow up to the Zelda delay rumour: Nintendo is aiming for June 16, 2017 release in the UK (presumably they would have a worldwide release for a Zelda game) on the Switch with the Wii U version following a week later on the 23rd.

Stardew Valley which was apparently slated to appear on the WiiU will instead come out on the Switch instead. I saw a review of this game on youtube a while ago and it looked great, I almost picked it up on Steam cause it was a decent price, I'm glad I wated:

Makes sense. Why target a dead platform? Especially when you're one guy responsible for the entire game.

I'm expecting every Wii U indie game scheduled for release in 2017 to be quietly cancelled and moved to the Switch.

Speaking of Legend of Zelda, here's a new trailer that premiered during the Video Game Award Show last night:

People are claiming it has frame rate issues. I suppose I'm old fashioned cause I don't notice anything bad. If there is though, it's worth pointing out this may be the WiiU version and the Switch version might clear that up... or not, it's just speculation on my part.
