I figured that the Guardians wouldn't take themselves very seriously (except Gamora since she's the only one that's relatively close to being "normal") so their descriptions were designed not to take them seriously either. :P
Came up with another starship design that I'm considering tossing into my story. Not sure yet tbh but figured I'd share the design here anyway.
how am I just discovering this?
A fascinating concept with a great sense of style and aesthetic. My only comment is that the gold on the Command officers feels too orange to me, if that makes sense. Not sure if it does. Since I've read the thread and I'm the only one to comment on it, it probably is just my aversion to orange

The original "gold" that was on them looked a bit "green" to my colorblind eyes so I decided to do them in shades of a yellowish-orange to help my eyes. :P
Have a couple more ship interiors here. These are the USS Avenger's Ready Room and Mess Hall. The Ready Room is located on Deck 1's starboard side. The Mess Hall is on the forward rim of the saucer on Deck 7. If you check out my images of the Avenger then you'll see that I added windows on the front of the saucer where the Mess Hall goes.
Well, that's fair. I mean, it is technically green anyway, so orange works if that's the goal
It's meant to be more of a private work space than a 'corporate office' in so much as the way it feels. Also, based on the space layout, it's very similar to the office/quarters entry to the CO's Cabin on an Oliver Hazard Perry-class Frigate (US Navy). I know this because I served on one so the design isn't wholly useless or incorrect.
Also, here's the other space on Deck 1 that sits opposite the Ready Room; the Conference Room. This room has the other window on the port side of Deck 1, as you can see.
