    It's better late than never.
3 years after the end of the second season of the animated series focused on the teen sidekicks of several DC Comics superheroes, it has been announced that the it will return for a third season. So far they've announced the producers Vietti and Greg Weisman will return. There has been no word on when or where the new episodes will air other that they are coming soon.

Wow, they're taking this "time jump between seasons" thing a little too seriously.

    But YAAAAAYY!!!!

I wasn't aware that this was even still a possibility. That's great news if true.

It was easily one of the best DC based animated shows they did. If they are continuing with the same continuity they set up, sounds good.

That is fantastic, and quite unexpected at this point. I'm so happy right now.

Great news. What they replaced this show with in Teen Titans Go was criminal.
Looking forward to seeing Miss Martian again and hope they give her full range of powers like her missing Super Strength.

Teen Titans Go is the best Bra, just cause you don't get it. Waffles, waffles, waaaaaffffllleesss.

All kidding aside, I'm super glad that Young Justice is being given the opportunity to return. Love the show, can't wait for its return.

Now if only Disney would bring back Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes. Like with YJ, EMH was replaced with an inferior show by far, Avengers Assemble.

IGN is usually trustworthy when it comes to this kind of stuff, so I'm pretty sure it's true.

Okay, something's up with probability. First, the Cubs win the World Series; then, Greg Weisman actually gets to finish a planned TV-series story arc! Now we just need to revive Gargoyles and The Spectacular Spider-Man...

I hope this is on Netflix alongside seasons 1-2. The show would have much more creative freedom there than on Cartoon Network -- which cancelled it because it wasn't popular enough among the preteen boys that CN's toy-company sponsors want to sell action figures to.

We need Justice League and Batman the Animated Series of the 90's and early 2000's revived, then the circle will be complete.

If this wasn't posted as an official press release on DC comics website, I'd never believe it. The original team is back and its picking up where the show left off. I just hope its not on Cartoon network again, unless that channel has changed leadership to people who don't hate shows with fanbases outside of its strict demographic.

After the big set up for season 3 going nowhere with the cancellation, I'm super excited to see what they do. I never thought this would happen. Shows just don't come back after being cancelled for several years, at least not shows like YJ. This is great news.

I think the DCAU got the chance to achieve a reasonable degree of closure -- twice, actually, first with "Epilogue" and then with "Destroyer." I don't want everything to stay frozen in the past forever, I just want creators to get a chance to complete stories whose telling was interrupted. And it's happened to Greg Weisman so many times that I'm glad he finally gets a chance to undo one of those premature cancellations.

Interesting news, a bit out of left field, probably not a series I would've thought would be up for revival. It does make sense if it's on Netflix or something where eyeballs might outweigh toy sales.

Netflix would be a good outlet. Or maybe they can carve out half hour slot on the CW and put it there. It's already the home for DC on TV.

Well, not the exclusive home -- FOX has Gotham and the Vertigo-based Lucifer, and AMC has the Vertigo-based Preacher. And NBC's Powerless sitcom and Syfy's Krypton prequel pilot are in the works.

I'd prefer to see it on Netflix to broadcast TV. They've done good work so far with animated original shows or continuations. It would be commercial-free and less subject to censorship. And Netflix's binge-viewing release model, with 13 episodes coming out at a time, is well-suited for YJ's serialized storytelling format.
