The Cubs are already 3-1 favorites for the 2017 World Series. The next best teams are all 10-1. I smell a dynasty coming.

At the very least, he locked up a HOF spot, I suppose. Regardless of whether he was puppet-master or just involved, that storyline is a lock now, and broke the two longest WS droughts.

May want to tap the brakes on that one. Or at the very least, maybe a good day to go bet on some of the 10-1 teams while the Cubs are being propped up that high. It was a great series, but also one in a row after 107 misses, so not sure I'd bet the house yet. Especially since the win went to 7 games, and then 10 innings in that game. Definitely some exciting young players, though. We'll see if they manage to come back strong next year, or after what is sure to be a massive celebratory offseason if they experience the championship hangover. 2005 Red Sox got swept out of the first round...

Feel like Dynasty talk (in any sport) shouldn't even get mentioned after a couple championships, or at worst one championship and a long series of championship appearances. After one win, in their first appearance since WWII, it's a tad premature

Also the Cubs didn't really deserve to win this year. I'd bet they won't even make it to the World Series. Overtime someone is like "X is going to win! It's their year!" it hardly happens, and I doubt it will twee in a row. I mean the Red So were supposed to win 100+ games and the World Series one year, they LOST 100.
