I rather liked the Batbooks directions before Monster Men. I assume they'll be back on course.yeah, i did not enjoy that either. but its over and those books can get back to business as usual.
Huh?It's almost like politics: One side being conservative (DC), the other being perhaps a bit too progressive (Marvel).
DC is giving us a gay Batwoman. A bi Wonder Woman. A Supergirl and a Superwoman. An Asian Atom. A biracial Kid Flash. Asian versions of Superman, Wonder Woman and Batman. Green Lanterns that are Black, Latina and Muslim. A gay couple, Midnighter and Apollo, headlining a series.Well, one's gone so far to bring back the 80's Superman, the other's replacing every single hero with a diverse analog.
CBR| DC Comics Rides Rebirth Wave, Remains Top Publisher in September 2016
Again, leading both in Dollar and in Unit Share, with eight titles in the Top Ten.
i thought that was really bizarre too. i mean really. and i'm no expert on the character but yeah, seemed to come from nowhere. So, the latest issue of Batman had some...interesting things. Basically, he went to Arkham Asylum and
Batman is putting together his own "Suicide Squad" for some mission, all arkham inmates. he picks several and the narration tells their name/crimes (like the original ventriloquist, who killed 8 people or Bronze Tiger being in jail for manslaughter, etc). Eventually, he gets to a masked inmate, who the Arkham doctor has been scared ofletting him take. he unmasks the person, and the narration says:
Selina Kyle
237 cases of murder
awaiting lethal injection
I have no freaking clue where this came from, and if my google skills aren't completely terrible it seems like this just came out of nowhere. Now I'm wondering if they just really screwed up Vatwoman (who would never do that), or she's being framed. Hopefully we'll get an answer
Also, an inmate in the asylum, with a name tag of Doe (as in "Jane Doe") drew the symbol of
The Legion of superheroes on the glass door of her cell. I wonder if that will be brought up. The "Legionaires lost in the present" has been done to deathat this point, bt if it leads to the Legion coming back, I'll take whatever excuse they'll use to do it

Didn't Saturn Girl make an earlier appearance as a mental patient?
DC Universe Rebirth Special 1I have no idea. I dropped Snyder's Batman early, and have basically only caught back up with Batman books starting with Rebirth. Last time I saw Saturn Girl was in the Legion book that ended a few years ago, and she was happily semi-retired with Lightning Lad raising their kids in the 31st centry. As far as I know, the only legionaires that might be in the 21st century are the Legion Lost ones (that book was so bad I couldn't even finish it, even as a HUGE Legion fan, so I don't know if they ever got home). Whatever it is, if they do something with it I hope its not Legion reboot #456 and its just the same character from the last version of the LoSH (aka original Legion from the 60s brought back pre-New 52 and continuing past Flashpoint)
I forgot about that. But,
If she's Saturn Girl, why doesn't she just use her mental powers to escape Arkham and find superman?
Also, that really makes me think this is leading to another Legion reboot. Saturn Girl has traveled to the past enough to know things aren't free, and I doubt she'd be stupid enough to 1) Believe that people would believe that she's from the future and 20 sit around in an asylum when she could easily use her powers to leave, and even cover her tracks. She also knows enough about superman and the Justice League that she could easily get his/their attention. This only makes sense if its a completely different Saturn Girl then the one from the last (and technically post Flashpoint) version.
If they reboot the Legion again, I'm done with it. I love the legion, but my favorites are the original, both in its original incarnation and when it came back in The Lightning Saga. I won't bother with another reboot.
Blond hair and pink outfit made me think Saturn Girl The only other LSHer with that color hair is Supergirl.
I'm sure you're right, its just annoying. I really don't want another Legion reboot, but if that's Saturn Girl then it basically confirms a rebooted Legion.
