For now 4K standards aren't even settled. We have a 4K TV but I'm not sure it has HDR or anything like that. It does seem to be the next standard coming in though. Unlike 3D which came and went.
Competing technologies, a small amount of content, 3D cinema lost it's appeal too, and most of the time people don't want to be wearing 3D glasses just to watch TV.Why did 3D die?
